I have a question...
I've been working at becoming lucid since October now, and have had several short experiences. But, most of my experiences have been dreaming that I was lucid dreaming. I know it's a good step up, but it's kind of frustrating. I have done wbtb five times, and twice I have later had dreams of lucid dreaming. Does anyone have suggestions for turning those dreams into real lucid ones?

This happens to me a few times also and it's normal.
Try be more aware when doing RCs or just try be aware for the majority of the day, I know it might sound complicated but you'll see how much better your dreams get because of it and you can spot the differences.
Just never have that feeling of giving up, it might be frustrating but it's worth it in the morning when you think, "hey, did I just have a lucid dream?".

Thanks, I understand. I've heard about not doing RCs correctly, and I think I haven't been. I really am not that aware when I'm doing it. Sometimes I just push my finger into my hand subconsciously.

Being aware while doing RCs is a big tip, I used to just only do RCs without awareness and I pretty much had what you have but you'll get better at it. :)

Quick question...How long did it take for you get have your first lucid dream?

It takes awhile but for me it was about 3 weeks, I was constantly trying but after the second week is when I found out about ADA (all day awareness) and I applied that with my RCs and it worked.
It's different for everyone and I thought for me it'd be months till I got my first lucid dream, I guess it's because I was researching about it before I tried.

Typical "All Day Awareness" is not useful. When you are constantly aware of every detail of your surrounding without reflection (like a mouse is because it is scared that it got eaten) then you will get very very vivid and detailed dreams but no lucidity because everything is so "real". you need to be aware of your state (wake or sleep) you need to be critical to your surrounding. the whole time reflect your state and search or look out for flaws in your surrounding. you sure can do this all day but it is a different kind of awareness. sageous would call is self-awareness.

the approach here is: ADA/RC --> be constantly aware of one detail that is always different in waking than in dreaming. it is easier to be constantly aware of one "small aspect of reality" than run around with huge eyes and look around and absorb everything you just see (you cant do this too long it drains your energy empty after some days)
Hukif invented ADA/RC with gravity for himself. he gets lucids about 6 times a night... but you need to find your thing that you can be aware of without too much effort. something that is different in your dreams than in waking...
till then i would recommend to do some quality RC during the day and try not to fall to much into "Auto-Pilot/zombie-mode" every time when you notice that you was away for some time stop look around and do a good RC. because dreams are similar. you find yourself somewhere but didnt ask criticaly how did i came here.
you want to shorten the times between your "awakenings" from autopilot and reflect your state. this is mindfulness and very useful.
it helps when you have an alarmclock every hour or so that "wakes you up" with some time it should get easier and you will remember yourself to notice it even without an alarm
Edit: What i want to say: It is good to pay attention or be aware of your surrounding, it is bad to be constantly "away" with or in your thoughts. But be not only aware but also reflect and be critical to what you perceive and your state.

That does make sense, actually. It has been hard to pay attention to every detail. The thing that is always different in my dreams is the way that things are arranged. For example, I have dreams about stores a lot, and they are arranged differently than in real life. Same with my own bedroom. Do you think that paying attention to the way familiar places are arranged would work?

This for sure can be a trigger. every time you enter a room or a store you look around for unusual stuff. this raises your critical awareness. and you probably change rooms quite often so yea. try to be genuine suspicious and wonder if this room looks like always if something is odd and if you might be dreaming. do a RC at the end or in between to confirm it. you also should do a RC every time something feels odd for you. this can be really simple things like: wait where is the knife i cant find it RC. or why is this old man staring at the trash bin so long RC etc.^^
the best ADA/RC on the other hand is something you have always with you or can check everywhere like gravity or blinking breathing heart etc. but one dont need to do ADA/RC. it is enough when you raise your awareness often enough throughout the day
