I wanted to test the FILD method. I had messed up my sleep schedule but decided to try anyways. I wasn't really tired but tried to lie still so I could become tired, but made sure to roll over sometimes to reduce the chance of the body going to sleep causing sleep paralysis. I finally fell asleep and my alarm woke me up 2 hours later. I tried to go back to sleep and right when I was about to fall asleep I started FILD. After doing it for maybe a minute, suddenly a VERY loud noise appeared, like someone dropping a huge metal box next to me. My first reaction was to open my eyes and look, but I was stuck, and couldn’t move. A loud buzzing started as if an air compressor was turned on next to my ears. I immediately knew I was in sleep paralysis. The buzzing became louder the more i moved and it started getting so loud that I felt like I had to cover my ears to keep my eardrums from bursting. My body was shaking and simmering a lot. I couldn't wiggle my toes, talk or move my tongue, all I knew was to keep my eyes shut. I tried using all my force to move my arms, legs and such and the sound became louder and I finally woke up.
I was very scared of falling asleep again and felt some kind of paranoia being in a dark room. After some time just lying i finally fell asleep again.
Not long after having a normal non-lucid dream (sexy though), the same loud sound appeared again and i found myself in yet another sleep paralysis within the same couple hours. This time louder, but shorter since my first reaction was to press my body upwards with full force which woke me up. After this it was 3 am and i was terrified to fall asleep. Having this kind of experience with hallucinations, voices, hearing footsteps etc. would devastate me.
I stayed up the rest of the night to avoid it happening again. I was tired when I fell asleep, I rolled over regularly to make my body know not to go into sleep paralysis, and also laid on my side since I heard it might help avoid it. I still had it twice this night, and I can’t seem to find out why.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to avoid it happening altogether since it feels as if it might give me some kind of insomnia or at least something making me scared to sleep.

Also, post your own sleep paralysis experiences and how you get out of them or use them for lucid dreaming.
