Well, this is my second thread on this forum site, and this is my third lucid dream since I began. I haven't had a lucid in over a week due to busy in life, but suddenly this morning I woke up really early, so decided to WBTB.

I thought hard about new york going to bed, and I began a dream in NYC. I don't remember all of my lucid dream, but is that normal?

It was a very long and quite vivid lucid dream. I'll give you the highlights that I remembered.

* I was in New York at night. I remember starting off in an alley, and I remembered once reading I should fly up really high and look down.
For some reason though, I didn't think of flying, but instead I began climbing metal poles on the side of a building. Is this due to lack of lucidity?

*I never seemed to get to the top of my climbing, but once I thought hard about it, I eventually got there.

*My goodness. I was at the top of a building, and I looked down. The most beautiful sight I've ever seen in a lucid. The city at night was SO amazing I almost woke up, but was able to stay lucid (I'll explain later).

*I jumped off the building and hit the ground painlessly, and then opened my eyes, but quickly closed them and returned back into lucid state.

*I was in renaissance era, and I attempted to fly. I flew some, but it felt like a weight was pulling me down, and eventually I gave up.

*I tried eating some mashed potatoes that was sitting out. It was good, but nothing as amazing as I expected it to be.

* Thats all I can remember.

What is weird was, whenever I was loosing lucidity, instead of spinning, I'd quickly rub my hands together, or I'd open my eyes really wide and rub my hand against an object.

I don't know if I was fully lucid or what, because I didn't feel like I had complete mental control. I sort of went along with the dream, following where it took me, not making any major decisions. Maybe this is due to my inexperience? And the parts of the dream I forgot, is that normal?

Important to note, some things didn't seem completely real. I didn't hear anything, I only felt something when I expected it, I didn't smell anything either. I only saw.

Also, some minor details would go unnoticed. For example, I wouldn't remember sitting in the chair, I'd just get there.
