Once, I had a dream I was on a ship, then it got caught in a storm and I speant what felt like months building a shelter, minecraft style, and eventually setting off to sea again and I go to Mossdeep City in the pokemon universe. It was amazing. Like seeing myself in fast forward mode. |

That must have been a weird feeling/experience. Sounds really cool. |

I'd probably have to go with the second dream in this DJ entry. Not only is it long in the sense that there is a ton of detail put into the entry, but the dream itself felt like it took up a good half hour from start to finish. Though it was broken up with false awakenings and forgotten bits, it definitely felt like the longest dream that I ever had. |

I had a dream the other night where there seemed to be a strong correlation between objective and subjective time. Best guess is it was about 30 minutes and it was just chock full of minutiae. |

It hard to gauge how long time felt in dreams, but normally my dreams last between 2:30 hours and 3:30 hours, I tend to continue dreaming from one REM stage to another without waking up. I would say, IRL time, the longest was 4 hours and 15 minutes. Normally before these long dream sessions I wake up just before them and see the time, I also know it is very typical that when I fall asleep after waking up at that time I slip directly into a dream. My only problem is turning that into an actual successful WILD. All these super long dreams are nonlucid. However, my DC and stabalisation is really good I think I could have 3 hour lucid dreams, if only I could induce them. |

Do you remember doing a reality check in those dreams once? |

I experience instantaneous setting changes as if time were passing by, but I am never convinced that my dreams were actually lasting anything more than a few minutes. I would compare my dreams to how a movie plays. 15 minutes of a movie can express 3 days of events, but it was still only 15 minutes of experiences. That is how my dream feels if that makes any sense! |

Same here GetDreaming; my dreams that feel hours long are in hindsight just a collection of key events that my subconscious pieced together to form a coherent story. I remember an NLD that felt like 6 hours but I only remember the start, the end, and some 'snapshots' of events in between. I don't have detailed info of the entire 6 hours of the dream story; I just have a general idea of the plot. |

~If you read my signature, you will have a lucid dream!~
I don't recall any dreams I've had that felt like they lasted more than about 45–60 minutes in experienced time max, although I often have false memories of things that happened “before” the dream started. |

My longest lucid dream was around 30 minutes. For me it felt like a few hours long. I was experimenting with 4mg of Galantamine with 250 mg of Choline bitrate after 5 hours of sleep. |

I had a dream that, through false memories, was an entire lifetime. That was weird. I have no clue how long it lasted in real life. Looking back, I skipped around a bit and the fake memories filled in the details. |

I've had instances where my dreams have been extended due to frequent false awakenings. I love to pull myself back in by spinning the moment I notice the dream begin to blur. Spinning is habitual for me now enabling me to control the duration quite well. I've had dreams that felt as if they lasted a day, but that false perception still perplexes me. I usually awaken and notice it has only been two hours... |
