      Fear inducing dream!

Has anyone out there ever had a dream that causes more fear than you could believe to be imaginable? I used to get them about once a year, but they've stopped for now (thnk God!). Whenever i woke up from the dream, i tried to recreate it in my mind, only to find that the amount of fear was impossible to reach. The kind of fear you cannot get in the physical world. Am I the only one who has experienced this???

I'm not sure if anyone has welcomed you yet, But if not

:yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum: Welcome!!!! :yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum:

Once, when I was sick, I'd have a recurring dream, where I'd have to do something impossible, and I would get soooooo afraid, I can still not replicate that fear, So yes, I know what your talking about

i had a really scary dream a couple of weeks ago, the sun exploded, and there was nothing the people of earth could do about it. there was about one more day of life as we knew it, so we basically sadly scaredly went about our day with the ominous thought that the sun was about to kill us. there was nothing we could do. it was very realistic and very scary. i woke up as i was dying from the shock wave.
All I know is that i don't know nothing.

Thats cool my dreams are pretty mellow also. But I feel sorry for Redneck Floating through the Garage out into the city and out in orbit. I should've asked him next time he's floating up there like that to see if he see the New Space Station they're completeing and if so to take some Pictures.

Most fearful moments are when i'm in a normal dream and something really freaky happens suddenly at the near end like the feeling of being pushed into a dark door with eerie noises being emmited from within (i can't help but remember that one) or someones appearance suddeing altering in a hideous way or being munched by something whilst trying to wake up.

I haven't had one of those in a while. Closest to it was after watching Underworld and having one long night of shoot outs with werewolves n stuff. Quite enjoyed that one actually.

I would like to respond by saying "thankfully, no"

I become MUCH more afraid during my awake hours than nightmares. I mean... nightmares are not HALF as scary as my daymares.

      Re: Fear inducing dream!

      [quote]

Nope... yaren't! I feel your fear... invader. I used to have nightmarish dreams that induced extreme fear very frequently. I still have them once in a while. After having them so often, because of familiarity with the bizarre, and because I started to "expect the unexpected" (so to speak) in my dreams, I now don't get as frightened. There are still "otherworldly" frightening ones, no doubt, but not to the level that you're talking about. I used to wake up and falll on my knees immediately in prayer. Asking God for peace and love (which is the opposite of fear) and listening to soothing/uplifting music always seems to help for me...
"By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me; a prayer to the God of my life."

That reminds me of this one show I was watching, it had this guy who believed he was being attacked by demons while he was sleeping. He'd be asleep and then he'd suddenly feel something grab his leg or something to that effect. So afterweeks of sleepless nights living in fear he finally called a priest to do an excorcism. The producers of the show rigged the hotel room with tons of cameras and microphones, and then let the guy go to sleep. Sure enough, he was sleeping and then all of a sudden he bolted up, and the set crew came in to talk to the guy. They brought the priest in, and he started his little excorcist speach, "...and so leave this man in the name of Jesus Christ!"

A few minutes later they went to check the recorders to see if anything odd had been caught on tape. They were listening to the audio recordings, and everything was normal. It continued on until it reached the part in the tape when the priest mentioned "...in the name of Jesus Christ!" Suddenly, there was the scariest noise I had heard in my entire life, a hideous screaching, like something straight out of a horror movie. I'm not religious, but this scared the crap out of me so much I quickly said a little prayer. It didn't help that I was home alone and it was after dark. Man did I have trouble falling asleep that night...

I always used to get apocalyptic dreams. I’d accept my death, then wake up. In a way it was pretty annoying.
He woke up; the room was bare.
      He didn't see her anywhere.
      He told himself he didn't care ;pushed the window open wide;
Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate.
