Although I have been LDing for 16.5 active months and I have experienced 274 total LDs, I still consider myself beginner level, due to lack of the wide range of possible dream skills such as summoning(I haven't even finished basic summoning). Is there a solid line between beginner and intermediate, etc. What is the hierarchy of levels?
274 LDs in less then 1.5 year is quite advanced if you asked me. Having counted so many LDs is already a feat that lifts you above the beginner level. A beginner might be someone who has a few LDs a month, is struggling to have more and a single lucid dream is a big event for him. When he starts having a few LDs a week and can consistently practice skills and methods you might call him an intermediate. An advanced might be someone who has about 5-10 LDs a week with proper duration and quality of the lucid dreams, with pretty good recall. He has done a lot of practicing and knows some stuff about himself and his dream environment and the way his dreaming mind works. I think you would have to work really hard to get here within a year. Now a master, there are probably only a few, probably less than 5 of them on this forum. They almost have full control over their LDs and the frequency and have been doing it consistently with good results for a couple of years. The higher you go, the more variety there is between the people, more individuality, they really have their own way of doing things and all have a great unique story. I believe Sensei (previously known as BrandonBoss) is well on his way to become a master.

Huh, never thought about where the line is drawn.
There are so many different things to do in an LD, it isn't really fair, or rather doesn't make sense, to categorize yourself into beginner, intermediate, etc.
It's like trying to categorize yourself as a beginner, intermediate, or advanced at life.
Too many things to consider to really put yourself into one of those groups.
I guess it just depends on where you want to categorize yourself. Whatever you think you are.
I see myself as an advanced lucid dreamer because of my ability to shape the dream and have complete control over the dream. I categorize myself based on my ability and level of dream control.
Some people place themselves into one of those groups based on their ability to become lucid, their frequency of LDs, dream control, technique, etc.
