very confused about this
Okay, so I just had my first lucid dream last night and I was confused about something. Let me start by explaining what happened. I was in my car, driving down some road. I looked at the clock on the dash and the clock read [3:08] but the numbers were deformed. I thought "hmm... those numbers looked pretty strange" so I looked at the clock again, this time it read [12:34]. At the this point I was like (calmly) "yeah, I'm dreaming, defintely dreaming" then my heart started pumping really, really hard and fast. It started to become black all around me as I became unable to open my eyes and I felt like I was falling, very, very slowly for what seemed like hours until I was in a regular non-lucid dream then my alarm went off.
So yeah, that's how it went down. If anyone more experienced could tell me what happened it would mean a lot.

Its the shock from "i cant understand why the clock in the car is like that " to " now i understand , its because its a dream" the true understanding of figuring out why the clock is like that can put any humans mind into shock and fear, hence the blackness and miss understanding of the truth you first experienced --saying to your self '' its a dream". *******only you will know the truth and other peoples*******

oh, thank you! that's actually really interseting. is there any way to prevent it from happening?

Practice.
Make sure you stay calm.
Can really take a while to nail it down.
Nothing beats that thrill though!

next time you are unable to see, try to perform reality checks to further anchor yourself inside the dream world. Do a nose pinch RC (breath through your nose while closing it with your fingers) to assure you even more that you are dreaming. As soon as this feeling really settles in you can try to pry open your eyes with your fingers or if you really believe you can do anything inside a dream just will them open. Expect them to open when you exhale your next breath.

Its your dream and your thought in that dream anything you think and do is your own creation and no one else, just like gods dream, " yhea he has dreams too , but his are a bit more elaborate like life.fear and shock van do funny things to people even in real life,it makes people blackout and cry and scream, imagine what it can do to someone who's just woke up in a dream, as is said before , its your dream and you create it****act like a god and think like a god , and you'll become one ****only you know the truth and other peoples**** don't be scared
