all my dreams are pretty fuzzy...it sucks ...i think im the only one on here trying to increase vividity (is that a word?) instead of lucidness lol...i'd be happy with extremely vivid dreams and rare lucidity...oh well, se la vie (cant spell french..or speak it lol)

I picked the first answer. Although, technicaly how could you describe something more life-like than reality itself???

what do you mean? life like or vivid? because i have had some really vivid dreams where there are cartoon characters running around... i wouldn't call that "life like" -- i also have very vivid dreams where in the morning i walk into the laundry room to take my clothes out of the dryer only to find that it was only a super vivid dream of me doing laundry that i had that night.

funny story my moms doing a load of laundry when i come in and open the dryer... stop and stare for a while, close it then walk away. that day she asked me if i was high.

They're just as lifelike as waking life, its just that after a while the dream fades and even after you've written it down starts to get fuzzy in your head. So my recall isnt 100% optimal, and I think thats sort of what you're asking so I voted less then waking life.

Werburn you're not the only one.... pretty much all my dreams are fuzzy, too. I guess I still gotta work on my recall, but it's kind of hard to dream well when you get like six hours of sleep..

Well, when I get lucid, its like all my senses 'increase' in vividness, and everything gets more....'colorful'

i know those are similies, but they work to describe it!

Ive seen the dreamscape become very dull upon reaching lucidity and have seen it get really weird, were all the scenery is real wavy. Ive also seen the dreamscape remain the same upon attaining lucidity. It varies from dream to dream.

By lifelike I guess I mean how realistic, or how real do your LDs seem?

if you are comparing the dreamworld to this reality then it can't be more real..what I mean is...the dreamworld can't be more realistic than reality itself, but it can be more vivid.

Ok I changed my mind; last night I had a non lucid dream that I was in a forest, and I remember looking at the birch trees surrounding me and noticing how beautiful everything looked. Now that I think back I can remember practically every detail on the trees, from individual leaves to bark peeling off.
And yes, I should get more sleep. Oh well I went to bed around 10:30 yesterday, and that's good for me. Ill try 10:00 tonight.

But you do have a point, the more sleep, the more REM, the more dreams.

I have not yet managed control and manipulation over my dreams, but lately they've become very vivid, sharp, and convincing. Actually, I was flying at will in my dream, but I wasn't aware of it being a dream and my potential to do more...you know? It's a real paradox, I know, hehe

My regular dreams are kind of fuzzy and I tend to forget them right away, but my lucid dreams are really intense--more intense than waking life. When I'm dreaming and realize I'm lucid, the whole dream scape changes and becomes clearer. It's like fixing a dark, bad picture in Photoshop and making it all crisp and clear again. Also, my lucid dreams are very tactile. I'm very aware of touch, like human warmth, warm animal fur, soft things. I usually remember lucid dreams for weeks after.

When I awake or become concious in a dream I feel just as concious as waking life, however the dream scene around me has nothing to do with realism. I think its a rather oddly proposed question.
