Thread: Does using your imagination is waking life help with lucid dreaming?

So the question is simple, and straight forward. I know everyone is so busy these days perhaps that is why there is not much on this idea/practice. When is say this I mean with eyes closed of course. Don't forget to take the poll if you have used waking imagination for a while.

No, I don't think I do.

I think we all use our imaginations in waking life, AstralProjectee... part of being a lucid dreamer is imagining where we'll be when we wake up in our dreams.

Were you looking to be more specific? Perhaps you're talking about a visualization practice where we create the images we hope to encounter in our dreams? If so, I've done that as well, though, because I'm a lousy visualizer, not too often.

I hope you might be more specific, because imagination is a subject often ignored on these forums, and it would be great if a decent thread about it happpened!

I think it can be used to help with lucid dreaming, I've always just done it for fun though. I've heard of other people doing this too, you can also do it with your eyes open. Like in this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...g-pretend.html

I read a lot of books too, so I'm regularly using my imagination to visualize the worlds and characters.
