Yup, totally agree. If we get frustrated with seemingly no success, it's just gonna make it that harder. I said "seemingly", because even "failed" attempt is a learning oportunity, that gets us one step closer to our goal. |

Before you guys crucify me, think about it. Is it really so difficult? Or do you make it difficult on yourself? I decided to make this thread to give some insight on how I view lucid dreaming. It's all a mind game really, and you're just trying to win. The prize: lucidity. How difficult you make the game is up to you. YOU adjust the difficulty level. Are you gonna make your pursuit a complicated mess and just frustrate yourself? Or are you gonna stick to the methods that work for you, and take each step in stride, each time reaching a new level or goal in your pursuit and then telling yourself "Pff, well that was easy". To me, it's 50% effort and 50% attitude, and my pursuit is coming along just fine, everything just getting easier and easier each day. |

You're only as good as the limits you set upon yourself.

"If you must sleep a third of your life, why should you sleep through your dreams?"

I already had everything ready for the crucifixion. |

I think this is quite important. People with all things in life tend to focus too much on the goal. What I mean is that you will be more successful if you put all of your hopes on your ability to grow rather than succeeding at lucid dreaming. This way, if you are less than perfect, you will be happy that you tried your best regardless, and if you truly do this correctly, the results will come because the pressure to do the seemingly impossible is not there. You can try your best, but success is not guaranteed; therefore make your goal (rest your happiness here) to try instead of to win, and you will win. The pressure is off, and the results appear. |

Lucid dreaming is simple, but not necessarily easy for everybody. Like another skill, lucid dreaming is easy for some and harder for others because everybody's different. |

Reminds me of this: |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
Thanks all for the feedback! Just trying to instill some confidence in some people that's having a hard time, that's all, and I was aiming at what Meskhetyw was saying. Don't focus too much on succeeding because you might fall at the first hurdle, rather focus on growing and you're results, whether it be a success or a fail. This relieves you of any pressure and then boom! That's when you start succedding, and you'll start to understand you're path a little bit more and you end up staying on the path, maybe sometimes being frustrated but realizing that you can do it, and that you will. You won't stray from your goal as easily, and before you know it, the experience you've accumulated will immerse and surround you, and you'll look back and see how far you've gone. Why go back now? |

Hmm, we're all entitled to our own opinion so yea, patience is very important too and something I myself need to work on but at the same time, I believe, the attitude comes with the patience. That's just me though, because with the right attitude you wouldn't really need to worry about patience. But thanks for the feedback |
