For Natural & Expert LDers; Do You Ever Get Bored With LDing?

      Hello all.

I’m directing this question to all those folks who are natural lucid dreamers (been doing it since childhood and have LDs often) and experts (being doing it for years and consistently have LDs several times per week).

Do you ever get bored with lucid dreaming?

I can imagine that almost any activity can become mundane when done often enough.
      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

I am only about 19 months (June 12, 2012) but I get 7 LDs/week and have had 450+ LDs. So I can only give my experience!

I sometimes lose my will to LD and just completely don't want to do any work for it. When I think of my LDs I don't think that it is worth it. Then when I start having them again I get really excited about it. So I get bored if I am on a dry spell (I have checked, it is not the other way around).

When in a LD, I sometimes forget goals or forget that I can do anything. I will be bored in the dream and try to find something interesting. That doesn't happen as much now that I am able to teleport at any time. Different universes never get old!there is always someone to fight or someone to save. some beauty that is only accessable to you.

Sorry if I don't fit your description. You can ignore me if you wish.

Also... All naturals seem to get bored, i believe it is because they didn't work for itm they don't quite grasp how awesome it is.

I can basically just repeat what brandonboss said. The moment you hit a dry-spell you start to lose interest.

It's quite hard to recall the immense feelings experienced in a dream, and for whatever reason it doesn't usually feel worth it on a day to day basis. Eventually you get pulled back into it though.

I haven't been bored with LDing. My LDs have always been on the short side so I always have a thirst for more!

All I do is fly around, which is fun but the majority of my lucids don't last very long and often times don't feel real. I rarely ever experience a long lucid dream that felt like real life.

Nim. I would recommend raising your recall. More recall means more aware dreams. When a high awareness dream becomes lucid it is like looking around right now and realizing that you are dreaming.

oh I've had some pretty awesome lucids before though most of them were closer to the when I first started back when it was a new experience. I've now had over a hundred lucid dreams but only a dozen I could say were truly invigorating beyond normal. recently my lucids have been pretty short and kinda fuzzy almost, I'm not sure if I'm just so used to the difference since you can definitely tell the difference but often times the clarity is as if I were looking through the world with one eye open. Seriously when I close one eye, it looks exactly like my dream vision sorta. I remember one time after shortly awakening, I went back to sleep ready to re-enter and the vision from my real life room dimmed a bit while transitioning to my dream interpretation of my room. Most of my lucid dreams are wake induced, usually when I wake up and I find myself still tired, I can immediately slip back into the dream transitioning phase. I rarely have dilds so I'm not exactly sure if it has anything to do with the time lengh. The main problem is time length not letting me fly those long distances where I can actually visit the awesome scenery on the far end that my mind randomly generates.

Getting 1-2 LDs per 1-2 days here at the moment. It never gets boring since i have alot of goals, including long term ones, to go for. Lucid dreaming is a lifestyle!

Wow! 5 LDs per week after only 6 months. That is very impressive.

Yeah seriously you don't get to stop there , do tell: what is your daytime practice, what is your nighttime practice, how long have you held that frequency, etc. I'm 7 months in and I just had a super streak of 7 LDs/10 days in the competition followed though by a "recovery" dry week so far, so regular increased frequency is a big goal of mine.

And I'm not expert but NO! Bored? Maybe if I achieve my goal of entering a time chamber that makes the subjective dream time extend for years.... but with summoning ability (and a large enough time chamber) the possibilities are endless

I've been at it, on and off, for almost 10 years and my best streak was 6 LDs in 22 days (back in July of 2006). My goal is to consistently have 1 - 2 per week.

The cool thing about dreaming is that even if you do the same thing again, it will always come out a little different. So there is always something novel and exciting to discover even about mundance acts. Then try adding all of the things you can possibly think of and want to do in your life but you don't have the time/opportunity to, and add all the things that are impossible to do. There is no limit to the awesome things you can do and experience you can gather. If you are in the proper mood there is an exciting world waiting for you every time you get in. And it's never enough.

I always find something to do in the infinite space that is my subconscious. Being bored doesn't exist in a world like that for me.

When a lucid dream is out of control or just not vivid enough, even after trying to increase the clearness of it, I sometimes lose interest in it. :c
