Lightbulb When You Come back from Lucid dream to waking life, No Difference in Feeling?

I've never had a Lucid dream but i'm wondering. Since, in a lucid dream you are aware. then, when you come back to waking life...is there any like diference in how you feel in terms of awareness and feeling like real life?

Because i hear that lucid dreaming feels real . So when you're awakaneed you also feel real cause it's real life. So does one not feel any transtitional difference Or do people feels some change as they transitions from the lucid dream to waking up?

LDing feels real in the sense that a cartoon looks real. Or how you may feel involved with a story you are reading. It is only in the less rational state of sleep that you gauge it as just like real. It is not. It is its own weird thing, and parts can seem very real for a short time. Normally it is pretty obvious that you have waken and it is easy enough to keep the two separate.

I think Sivason just sort of said this, but keep in mind that lucidity = self-awareness in a dream; it does not equal reality. One cool thing about being lucid in a dream, I think, is seeing the non-reality of the place you are in. Yes, the details in a LD might be quite realistic, but you know in a LD that they are not part of reality, but rather part of the dream you are creating. So, in a sense "reality" itself becomes a spectator sport of sorts, thanks to the presence of your self-awareness in a dream.

But to answer your question: No, since it is the same "You" in the LD as it is in waking-life, when you wake up from a LD you will not feel a transitional difference in your awareness ... There would be no need, because you will know that you didn't just leave one reality (the dream) for another (waking life); you simply turned the page on what you happen to be doing in reality from enjoying a dream to starting your day in waking life. In other words, you will remember that, excellent as it was, the dream you just had was not real.

Now that I think of it, lucid dreaming actually makes the transition from dream to waking even easier than that of non-lucid dream to waking. This is because when you're not lucid you tend to believe the dreamworld is real, so you need to take a moment upon waking to tell yourself that "It was just a dream."

I feel a difference when transitioning from a LD to real life. I would say that it is like going from being aware and clear-headed towards being foggy and lost in another story, like I am when I'm not lucid in dreams.

I tend to have problems with this a lot, especially when I use a lot of stabilizing techniques in my LD's and when they last a long time. I will have dozens of false awakenings before I can finally wake up. One time I was convinced that I would never truly wake up, and that there would only be more false awakenings forever because it lasted for so long. Felt like i was in that movie Waking Life.

I'm new to this game too, but I've noticed a change in myself in waking life that I attribute to lucid dreaming. So yes... it's made a difference in my waking life... if that's what you're asking.

When I have a lucid dream, I feel like myself the same way I do in the waking world.
I can make decisions, I understand that I am in the dreamworld, and I pretty much function like I do in waking life.
The main difference between waking life and lucid dreaming, to me, is more about the feeling.
Lucid dreams have this unique mysterious atmosphere, and all of a sudden absolutely everything you see feels new and unexplored.
And you are never completely sure what you might find behind doors and around corners, so even opening a door can feel like an exciting adventure. xD

The way I feel when I wake up from a lucid dream is that I almost feel like I fall asleep in the dream, if that makes sense.
I feel that my visuals start fading away, then I slowly start to feel my physical body until I lie in bed again.
It is a very direct transition, it kind of feels like I am warping from the dreamworld directly to my physical body.

I think one way to get a sense of how a dreamworld can feel could actually be to watch old animated cartoons, like the Donald Duck episodes from the 40's and 50's (there are lots of them on YouTube).
The environments in those cartoons can often look pretty realistic, but they still have this enchanting "unreal" feeling to them.
That's more or less what lucid dreams feel like - they look realistic, but the feeling is completely different from waking life, this thrilling feeling that makes you want to go exploring everywhere.
Here is an example of an image from the episode "Drip Dippy Donald" from 1948 - observe it for a moment.
Now, imagine that you could actually step inside that image, and walk around in the rooms.
It would feel pretty different from walking around in waking life, don't you think?
And that's because then you wouldn't be in physical reality any longer, but in a fantasy world - and that's the wonder of lucid dreams:
the realization that you are now in a world where anything is possible, and where our ordinary expectations no longer apply.
