First time using WBTB and bam, I broke my dry spell.
Hello everybody,
It's been months since I had my first lucid dream. Yesterday I decided to pick up writing in my dream journal once again, since I remembered a dream in detail. I wrote my entry and decided that, since my recall isn't the best, it's a good idea to try out wake back to bed. Just to see if I could remember more of my dreams to fill my dream journal with.
And so I went to bed at 1am, I've set up my app (Sleep Cycle, which monitors your light and deep sleep) to wake me somewhere between 6 and 7 am, whenever my sleep is lightest (probably when I'm in my REM sleep in the 3rd or 4th cycle) it'll wake me up. And so I woke up at 6.28am, and I got up, did my plugged nose RC, I went to take a pee and drank a glass of water. I went back to bed, only to stay awake until 7am. In the mean time, I played a mobile game for a few minutes and been reading some Lucid Dreaming related stuff. At 7am, I went to sleep and the next thing I remember is me opening my eyes in my bed, doing my RC and bam, I could still breath. This is the first time I could breath while plugging my nose, so I suddenly was filled with excitement. I don't remember much though, the dream was very hazy. I remember being a bit frightened at first. The next thing I know I'm outside and trying to fly. It was night even though it was light outside when I 'woke up'.
It's a shame I didn't think of any stabilization techniques, even though I know plenty and am aware of the importance of them. This probably caused the haziness and vagueness of my dream. For the duration of my lucid dream, I kept doing my RC for about 4-5 times, failing every time (failing a RC means you confirm it's a dream, right?). Way too soon I woke up for real, and my alarm clock told me it was 8am at the time.
This is all I remember of my 2nd lucid dream. I'm thrilled that I had one and I cannot wait to try out WBTB tomorrow again.
Thanks for reading. My LD count goes to two, whoooo!!!
