Hi Phayzon!
Do not be discouraged if your attempts have not worked out as you have expected. It may take some time to get started with lucid dreaming but it's all worth the effort. While it may be easy for some individuals, many of the good dreamers here actually started from the very beginning - zero lds and sometimes even zero recall, but they have worked hard, persisting despite all the difficulties and each has found a unique system that works best for him/her.
I've tried multiple techniques like RCs for DILD, WILD, MILD, and SSILD. I started with a dream journal but couldn't keep up with the time pressure I have in the mornings. With school I can't do WBTB either. I really really want to get a lucid dream and also become very proficient at getting them.
I think for beginners, DILD/MILD are best, as well as SSILD. Be sure to RC often during the day and use more than one RC. Lucas has given you good advice regarding turning those FAs into lds. You can refresh your knowledge and think about choosing additional RCs here:

You can also try to incubate a dream pre bed, by thinking about specific things you want to dream about and then connect it with the feeling of joy that you are becoming lucid during the event.
I have to say that I am great fan of WBTBs as they really make a big difference. We have dreamers from different ages here, some go to school or university, while others go to work or even both. Waking up in the middle of the night is not very fun, but the desire to have an ld can sometimes be stronger, so all these busy people try to make their sleep schedule accomodate a wbtb. The results have been impressive. So, I really recommend giving WBTBs another chance.
Also be sure to stick long enough with a tech before switching to a new one. It may take months for RCs to sink in. By the way, even if you don't remember to RC often, be sure to engage in some ADA, that way you are building up the awareness needed for lds.
If you are interested, we actually have ld classes here. You can get more feedback and help with your technique. Why not check out the DILD class we offer?

Keep on trying! We all have started from there, one way or another. Good luck!
