      Weird reacion in non-ld

I'll try to keep the dream short.
I was at school. We had to work on a project. I ended up alone in a room with a computer or two. I was just chilling out a bit when I looked over to the window. There was a boy standing in the room. He was about 10 years old and had brown hair. I competely flipped. I was thinking: "wtf, I'm hallucinating." The whole scene started to morph. It's was like how you show the viewers of tv that someone is high on drugs. The boy was pretty clear though. I reached out for him with my right arm, and as if he was a reflection in a mirror, he did the exact same thing. The whole moment was so intense.
I think I didn't wake up after that, but ended up in another short scene. I hope I'll see this DC more often.

So what's up with this? I mean, I've had weirder stuff happen than this, in dreams. Why did I react so strangely? I figured I could've been on the edge of going lucid, but as I said, I didn't wake up.
Does anyone have experienced something similar or does someone have a possible explanation?

Well now that is quite the unique experience you had there. It could be possible that you were Dream Sharing with another person or that what you saw was truly a reflection of what you yourself looked like in the dream. People seem to think that they will look like themselves in there dream where as this is not always correct why i have not had a expereince like that i must say that, that is quite awsome.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a true reflection, since he reached with his right arm too, just like me. In a mirror he would've reached with his left arm. It could be posible though, that it was my subconsciousness, with whom I always "talk" to as a person, when I go to sleep.
The shared dream sounds a bit spooky I'm not sure how people experience those dreams.
But yeah, I've never felt something like this in a non-ld. It was quite an experience.

Ahhh i see so we can count out the reflection bit leaving dream sharing. A dc that was simply mimicking you. I like the whole bit about your subconcious. Why? Thats badass your subconcious actually took physical form and was reaching out to you that would be quite unique. Also since you were not lucid or on the verge as you put it you could have been just going along for the ride. And the emotion of intenseity in the situation could have simply been a emotion your non lucid self was feeling. Hey try this in your next dream summon the dc and ask him why it was so intense that would be crazy if he actually replied. Ohhh spooky lol.

I had a similar experience about a month ago. It was a long dream, so I'll only describe the relevent part of it:

I knew that I was hallucinating, but didn't know that it was because I was dreaming. I first saw flashes of light across my vision and then in the darkness of my room, I could see red lights floating around. I turned on the light in my room (it worked!), and saw what I believed to be an incredible hallucination of the top half of my body sticking out the top of my PC monitor. I reached my right arm out, and the "hallucination" of me mimicked exactly as I did. I started playing around, spinning with my hand out so that it would go through the hand of my hallucination, but as we both spun, our hands collided as though a solid object. We physically held hands. I looked away for a moment, noticing that the door to my room was open, and the hallucination I was holding hands with changed into a woman. Dreams being what they are, this lead me to believe that the hallucination had been the woman standing there all along.

Is it possible this boy could have represented a younger version of yourself? Just a WAG.

Martin, that is indeed so similar So it was actually yourself you were looking at, until he turned into the lady?

Well, that's what I first thought of too. But he had brown hair, which I didn't have at all at that age. And I would've recognised my own face, I'd say. Still, it is a possibility I guess.
      btw, WAG?
