      "Kicked out" of lucid dream?

      Hey there

I'm a new member here so forgive me if this is in the wrong category, but I wanted to ask if anyone has been "kicked out" of their own dream? I don't mean waking up, but literally pushed into another dream.

To explain, I've only had one lucid dream, and this is what happened to me. I had been walking around, flying, making my friends come to see me and just hanging out at a building I believed was a school. I guess I didn't have the willpower to succesfully keep going, because I attempted to let the dream go back to a normal state on its own. Unfortunately for me I guess, the people there all knew already that I was dreaming, as when I first entered the dream I asked "am I dreaming" outloud. As soon as they "realized" that I wanted the dream to gain control again, they all stared at me. The school began to contort and it became more of a nightmare as they chased me ou of the building.

Thing is, as soon as I left the building and they slammed the door, I went back to a normal dream that I really don't remember now.

This was probably one of the scariest things I've experienced while attempting to LD, other than the shadow people that sometimes come when you open your eyes accidentally during SP... But has anyone experienced this? Was it just that my REM cycle was switching to a new dream on its own, or did I make it happen with a negative affect because its what I wanted to happen?

      Thank you for any responses.

There are alot of different reasons for this. Your explanation kind of sound like the way DC:s behave in Inception though.

I think that you shouldn't analyze this one experience too much though, just continue to practise and experience different things and if this problem occurs again then you can start to question it.

But to answer your question. It's normal for lucid dreams to turn into non-lucid dreams. So don't worry too much about it, just keep practising.

      Sweet dreams!

If I understood correctly you did not want to continue being lucid, so your dream obliged you, and kicked you out? It did it in a different way than you expected but the end result was a non lucid dream as desired, right?
You may say I'm a dreamer.
