Good idea, I wouldn't mind some recommendations either. I've done meditation for quite some times but never properly. I'd like to try some of the old techniques. |

There are two styles of Buddhist meditation that are similar to what we call ADA. From Tibetan Buddhism, there is "vipassana" which is usually translated as "mindfulness". (however, sometimes the word "mindful" is used in a different context of Buddhism to mean something like "ethical" or "proper") From Zen Buddhism, there is "shikantaza" which translates as "just sitting". The Tibetan style is closer to what you're looking for, but Zen has some interesting points for contrast. You can search for any of those terms and find many books on those subjects.
