Thread: Extracting Lucid Dreams

Hello to all who are reading ! I have an idea that i would like to share with all of you and that involves that of the extraction of lucid dreams. Wouldnt it be amazing to have a lucid dream, doing what ever you would want to normally do such as have an epic boss battle or fly over breath taking dream scenery then wake up to not just write it in your dream journal, but also have some device which has somehow recorded the dream, captured all the events and vividness of the dream and extracted it or something of the sort so you could watch it much like a video ?

To think you could do so many things with such technology! (it is just an idea, and hey i suspect this technology will be invented its just a matter of when lol)

You could finally get across to those who see you as loopy or crazy for saying you control your dreams and really show them what lucid dreaming has to offer.
You could share your experiences with others both good and bad (aka lucid nightmares)
And even in one night make your own professional movie
Who knows, this would be such an impressive tool to have if it were avaliable.

Whats your guys opinions on the matter i would love to hear from you !

Having something like that would be awesome. However, we'll have to wait until science discovers a way to "read" the electrical signs of the brain and transform them into videos. However, I read long ago some people were investigating a device that allowed them to see part of what was someone dreaming, so hopefully we won't have to wait long. I see it more troublesome affording the technology when it's available anyway.

Much agreed Pabo3, it would be very expensive to use this type of technology when discovered how to read the brains electrical signs/impulses however its still really awesome ! That so about people investigating into such type of device.. hmm maybe it will be around sooner than later eh, which would be amazing to see in action and how people would go about using the technology. Just a few more ideas about this are creating funny meme's or using it to show a complicated idea to explain in terms of words and so on .

Anyway, even if it's expensive when it comes out, if it comes out soon maybe after some years it will be something that everyone has, much like computers. And it would have a lot of applications. It would have a really great role in medicine, for example, because something like that could be used in people with severed limbs to control mechanical limbs, or used to get an idea of what's happening inside the head of a schizophrenic. Well, for the moment the written diaries will have to do.
