I am not sure if I am imagining this or not but can breaking glass be used as a reality check? I thought I saw this mentioned by someone in a thread about reality checks people used but now I can not find it. |

The thing you need to remember is that reality checks are not something you just do when you are dreaming. They are part of your everyday life. So are you really going to want to be breaking glass every time you think you may be dreaming? That is going to become a very expensive and antisocial way to become a lucid dreamer! |

As spaceexplorer said, reality checks are here to be practiced during waking life, and i don't think what you are talking about will work out... especially considering that there are more reliable and simple reality checks around. |

If you are wrong about it being a dream, you will not just have broken a car window in real life, but also will likely have a bloody fist. Not worth it in my opinion. Plus, what if you are dreaming and there is no glass around. Also you could very realistically break a car window in a dream maybe, and then you will have a no lucid dream that may involve you getting arrested or running around with a bloody hand. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.
But I'm not the only one - John Lennon
Haha, thanks for the responses, quite funny and weird, I guess there is quite a bit weird about this subject. |
