      Heyyyy,

Yeah exactly what the title says. What are your favourite films to watch and get inspiration from to do in your dreams?

Yellow Submarine. The whole movie just seems like a prolonged dream through an acid-heads mind, and it is quite lovely!

      Chronicle
      Inception
Some movie about robots, I can't remember the title, but it was like you go to sleep and you're robot you goes out and lives your nightlife for you. You can do anything with the robot you. It's sort of like a lucid dream.
Dragon Ball Z (it gives me ideas on what to do in LD's xD)

I thought Chronicle was an amazing movie for inspiration.
I've always kind of considered Inception a pretty appalling representation of lucid dreaming, even for inspiration.
It doesn't present anything very exciting, in terms of what you can do.
It's like offering someone a bicycle when they have car.
Good movie! I just thought it was a bit weak for lucid dreaming

Was pretty cool, a bit dull compared to the original, still worth the watch, I also loved limitless, not really dreams persay but still badass as fuck.

Stargate series: they have some episodes about dreams, consciousness, astral planes and the stargate is a great way to travel in dreams through the wormhole.
      Superman (because of the flying)
The Flash (because of the running)
A Nightmare on Elm Street. All movies are about dreams and conquering nightmares. I especially like the 3rd movie (Dream Warriors). The kids use the lucidity in the dream to become warriors with several powers and defeat Freddy. Since i saw this, i've been fighting my nightamares with special powers.

If you think about it, the way it presents dream characters is great for lucid dreaming purposes. And the famous "dream is collapsing" that you see several times in the movie, is also great. And it even introduces the concept of reality checks and their reliability (or lack of). It also presents deeper aspects of dream control, and one great question: can we be addicted to lucid dreaming, or even mix it up with reality?

I watched the movie several times and there's much more details to it than most of people can realize. There's many small details that give you a whole new perspective of things imo.

In addition to Zoth's excellent choices, here are a couple more:

      What Dreams May Come

      Stay

      Lathe of Heaven

      Fight Club

And yeah, as DreamHighlander already noted, the Nightmare on Elm Street series is an excellent tour de force of LD'ing!

      The last samurai
      Crouching tiger, Hidden dragon
      Red Cliff.

Pretty much all good movies if you want oriental styled dreams. These are my favorites with red cliff probably being the best. It's an immensely epic movie.

Yessss! Stargate is amazing, love them all, the newest one, universe is also pretty pleasing to the eye, one of my goals when I get lucid is to travel using a stargate.

Just watched waking life, actually just watched it twice in as many days as it's a bit of a mind trip. Some interesting theories in there when you pay attention. Thanks for the link dreamer7, gonna have a look at that tonight, if anyone wants waking life, I'll post a dropbox link for you.

Oh yeah, Dream Scape with James Woods is awesome.
I said Dream Scape with James Woods. My bad, I've got Dream Scape on the mind atm. What I actually meant was Video Drome. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely a must see..! It's an oldie, 1983, but it's one of the best horrors/scifi's I've ever seen. Fair enough, it's not geared towards dreaming, but it definitely has plenty of inspiration for lucid dreaming. I personally like the gun that moulds itself to his arm, gonna have to give that one a try for sure...!

And this is where the gun comes from...
