Hey, calling to any regular lucid dreamers. You know who you are.

If you don't have an opinion, feel free not to participate. If you do participate in it, then please post and say why you think what you do. Give examples if you wish, because that will help prove your point.

I have chosen confidence, because if you are not confident, you won't be able to become the others. Your mind will be holding you back. Like Henry Ford said: believe that you can, or believe that you can't, you are right either way.

I have seen loads of people struggling with lucidity much longer than I have and they don't have nearly as many lucid dreams. I am not saying that I am great at it, but I am getting better, and I think that it is because my confidence. When I first started lucid dreaming (actually started, not just "tried") I would always tell myself that since I had concentrated on dreaming a lot through my life and had a crazy imagination that I would be a natural at it. It took me 45 days to get a single one.for 2 months I would have about 2 days a month that I would LD multiple times, then I started a DJ and a goal book, telling myself that I was hitting every goal, so I needed more set goals, and more dreams! I kept getting more LDs and when I wasn't getting lucid I was getting more dreams a night. So this kept up my confidence.

I could tell a similar story about all the other "important parts" of lucid dreaming, but this is the one I find most important. So my question to you is:

What is the single most important thing to have to attain lucidity?

Confidence
Awareness
Self-awareness
Imagination
Dream recall
Dream journal
Dedication
Sleep schedule

I was thinking of course that you can do things to effect each one of these things. The top four you can do types of meditation to achieve. The bottom four just take time. All are great for lucidity, but which is best?

Feel free to add to the list if you like. tell me what you think!
