Waking up out of excitement and losing the dream isn't a problem for me anymore.
I just reach a point in the dream that I forget I'm dreaming, or do remember that I'm dreaming but get caught up in a dream logic objective.
What are some techniques for remaining lucid in terms of not forgetting, rather than preventing yourself from waking up? Should I just keep doing reality checks as I go, or is there something else I can try?
Once you achieve lucidity the first and foremost thing you need to do is stabilize the dream. Proper dream stabilization will result in a longer and much more vivid dreamhis also helps with maintaining lucidity.

Keep doing reality checks and stabilizing the dream. Practice being more aware in real life and keep reminding yourself that you are in a lucid dream. It will get easier over time :)
Stabilization isn't a problem, the dream is always incredibly vivid and long lasting, even late in the morning. I just get caught up in a dream objective and get lost.Quote:
