How to make your dreams last a whole year?

Could you induce it by time manipulation in your dreams? Has anyone ever done this willingly?
Dream Remembering Tier: 3/5 (Sometimes I would, sometimes I won't
Lucid Dreaming Tier: 4/5 (Most of my dreams remembered are lucid, there are hardly times which I'm not.
Dream Control: 2/5 (I can do it anytime I choose, the problem is that it burns me out in the dream
Dream Guide: Kuhn (Or maybe it's Kun)

Time manipulation has never been proven and it is likely non existant. If it were possible it would most likely be limited to a very small amount of time dilation since the brain must calculate more in a shorter amount of time.
      Example
If we normally dream at 24 images per second, and one hour in dream time takes one hour in real life

If were to dilate time in the dream by two times our brain would have to calculate 2 hours of dream in one hour of real life, requiring 48 images per second.

I think what most people witness as time manipulation is just the logical side of the brain filling in gaps of the dream to give the sensation of a longer dream.

Hmmm, my friend told me that he was able to use time manipulation in the lucid dreams up to making them 3x longer than non-sleeping time, and it greatly screwed up his sense of time overall.
Other than that, i heard that some people had dreams that lasted years, but dunno how possible it is to make them like that consciously.

It could be possible, although I think it would be very hard to try consciously achieving this, mainly because if you truly are dilating time then it should have a distinctive feeling, but how would you know if you've never felt it before

Well, people can feel shapeshifting/transformation, and when they start i am fairly certain they never felt anything like that before, so i think 'feeling time' is within the possibilites, it all depends on one's imagination.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try this a few nights/naps down the road to test it out.

As for the side effect of losing sense of time, I'll just take a mental point in my mind to practice return to, hopefully that'd work :p
