Sex Dreams

When I first started lucid dreaming, one of my main motivations was having freaky dream sex, as I am in my early 20. It was mostly difficult as my dream characters would often reject my advances. Over time, my focus shifted from sex to other interests, mainly flying, attaining greater lucidity and analyzing the crap out of my dreams. Now, when I become lucid, my immediate response is not to try to have sexy time with anything in my vicinity, but to watch the dream unfold and interact. Since then, I have had dream characters make sexual advances towards me, and the experiences are actually pleasurable as opposed to awkward and forced. My question is, has anyone had a similar experience or does anyone have any theories or explanations as to why this occurs?

Sex dreams are beyond boring. When/if they occur, I usually just fly or teleport outta the scene to somewhere I like

eg: A misty forest lake (at night)

I won't waste my time doing something that's stupid easy to obtain by today's standards

I think it changed because you stopped trying to force it to happen. Even IRL, a person who doesn't come on strong is much more sexy and appealing than someone who does.

I agree, i feel as if i only went along with the dream because i was so used to failure that i was surprised by the dream characters actually making advances on me. But thanks again guys. :)

I wouldn't say sex in lucid dreams are boring especially when you are at a high level of lucidity, they can be great. I don't have anything to judge it too though as i am only 14-15 so you know it's kinda illegal right now (IRL). The best part about dream sex is it can be exactly how you want it to be, you say that you don't want to waste your lucid time with dream sex because it is easy to obtain in real life... But your not gonna be going around and banging Megan Fox are you? I'm not saying that dream sex is the best thing to do in a lucid dream because by far it isn't you know you can f***ing fly and shit so that should be your main priority. And don't think that i'm using lucid dreams wrongly because occasionally I love getting answers from my inner self and finding forgotten memories from years ago.

Why have sex when you can do everything else :s?

Meh, personal preference I guess but I personally dont care for it in dreams

Why not have sex along with everything else? It's not like you have to do the same thing in every lucid dream.
Sex is sort of the default in my lucid dreams, when I don't have a specific goal in mind, or can't remember what it was I wanted to do. That is, I don't go seeking it out so much as it just sort of happens. It's still nice. Although the dream ladies have an annoying habit of changing into something else in the middle of it.

Hm, I'd have to disagree there. I find my girl extremely appealing when she comes onto me.

Eh, sex lucid's have been a bit bland for me. Either I lose lucidity, wake up before I'm done or she turns into something... very unappealing. Insideout, I've had one turn into a cat too... my cat, a bit disturbing when I woke up. Besides when I get lucid I want to do things I CAN'T do IRL, not things I can do.

All the gals in my dreams are gorgeous, and they all come onto me as soon as I am becoming lucid. Sometimes right before I become lucid and I don't make it to lucidity. I normally try to stay away, because they cut down LD time and as sea07 said, I can do that IRL.

I'd rather go on an adventure!

I once tried to stare at a women from the advice of another poster who claimed that staring at people helps stablize their physical appearence so that they are less likely toi change on you. Well I tried that and the bitch literally evaporated right in front of me like a fleeting thought. just evaporated almost like how hypnogogic hillucinations stop as soon as you focus on them.

yes lucky him, while minds may not have been as wierd as a 3 headed mucus snake lizard with teeth for a vagina, My DC character not only lost half of her body but later changed into what looked like guts where coming out of her stomach and a tube thing coming out which had what looked like a penis sticking out of it. luckily my dream self wasn't bothered by it, just annoyed, I was probably losing lucidity by then.

When these events pop up in a recurring manner, it means that it's somehow troubling or unresolved to you. Since dreams tend to be focused around problem solving/task fulfilment, being bothered by this will probably just make it happen even more.

If you don't want your dream partner to turn into something undesirable, direct your efforts and worries toward some other purpose that the act may involve.

just a thought. What if the people that you are meeting in the LD are in fact real people experiencing that also. Sort of like a social media meeting place, but it's for dreams.

Just had a sex LD, nothing went wrong. I finished and then woke up to my alarm. .

I don't try for sex in LDs, but I had a second FA and was sick of trying to get out of the house. My wife then jumped me, so I just went with it. :P I recommend stabilizing right before and a little during. Also: it is a dream and it only has to last a second for you to go, because it is all in your head. Just go as soon as it starts, I mean, unless this is your goal. ;)
