Taking a shit in bed?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, is it possible that when you are urinating or taking a dumb
in a ld it transfers into making a mess in real life?

Not that shitting is on top of my to do list when i get lucid again, but since
breathing and eye movement are hapening the same way in real life while
in a dream I thought it would be nice to know this up front just in case...

This might be one of the most stupid threads on the forum,
but I'm glad to take that risk rather then waking up and having
a little surprise waiting for myself one day when I wake up :cheeky:

In a normal dream were you have no awareness, I would say that it will not transfer into real life. In a lucid dream i'm not too sure, I don't think it is possible since as soon as you try push it out you'd just wake up, but why would you try to push one out or urinate while your lucid? :D

No, you can pee all you want without peeing your bed. Not sure if it's safe if you really really need to go though.

Yeah i guess if you need to go before bed, become lucid and take a dump.. Could have some messy consequences :P

Back when I was a child I used to have dreams about going to the bathroom. I would then wet the bed. I then stopped having them. I don't remember what age I was. BUT when I was about 8 I remember having a string of dreams about going to the bathroom, and I did not wet the bed.

I have had really vivid dreams where I was needed to take a piss and started pissing in the dream but of course I woke up with wet sheets so I assume the same could happen while lucid.. A shit however I don't think that would be possible.

I had poop down there last night in a dream, but that was because I was trying to run away from kamikaze soldiers who apparently killed anyone who disobeyed their traditions. Weird.

Fortunately, no transcending of bowel movements in waking life. :)

I don't think I've ever pooped in a dream, but peeing seems to be some weird recurring theme. I pee in darn near everything except a toilet and it seems normal until I wake up and just shake my head. I think one time I just walked over to the corner of a room and peed on the floor, and none of the DC even took notice, like that was a perfectly normal thing to do.

I peed once in a dream when I was younger. Then I woke up in the process of peeing my bed and was like NOOOOOO. Now I will never use the washroom in a dream again.

I dumped and peed and whatever in dreams, but never woke up in accidents LOL

It's a possibility but not likely. If you haven't gone to the bathroom in a while then the chance of it happening increases. I have heard of a few people peeing in their bed but nothing else xD.

I've actually became lucid a couple of times because I would be taking a piss in a dream and I would suddenly be like "oh my god I just went to sleep I probably just pee'd the bed!" and I swear I would actually feel warm liquid running down my leg, so I would force myself awake and the feeling of warm pee would literally fade away because it didn't actually happen.

But it is possible because people have told me about peeing in dreams then in real life too.

I would guess that you'd be OK when dreaming as most of your muscles don't work. I think peeing the bed happens mostly during other stages of sleep when your muscles aren't paralysed.
