I think I'm bad at summoning dream characters.

Is this the right place to post? Anyways, so far, I was able to summon dream characters by yelling out there name when I wanted to but I'm having a hard time trying to get them to look more like the actual people I've met in real life. Okay, so I'm trying to summon this girl, whom I used to be friends with , and after I yell out her name, she appears but her face looks a lot more different! I know exactly what she looks like and I even saw her the same way in dreams as in real life in previous dreams but now, when I'm lucid and summon her around a corner, it's so obvious to tell it isn't her! :? Sometimes she would even come out in a different skin tone or a girl I used to like about 6 years ago. I'm just wondering why she doesn't look like the same girl I remembered in person...

Your unconscious seems to be seeing your request as a "Hey! I want a girl to appear!" And your mind just comes up with its most prominent memories (which is why you saw the girl from 6 years ago.) What I would recommend doing, is if you want to see her in a dream, just spend a few minutes looking at a picture of her before you go to bed.

If that doesn't work,
Try to summon people that associate with her first. Summon one of her friends or something (someone who knows her.) Then, ask that dream character what she looks like/sounds like/acts like etc. This should trigger your unconscious to pull up memories of her. After talking to the dream character, the girl should be fresh in your mind. I believe summoning her after that would fix your problem!

Also, summoning is one of the hardest things to do when Lucid. You should start with something small, like just imagining an attractive girl, or an animal (could be scary the first time with animals :P.) Summoning takes a lot of practice. You need to know every little detail about your target. Just have patience, and keep trying.

And if ^ doesn't work, try asking her why she's pretending to be the girl you really want to summon. Might find something out.

Maybe you should turn around and imagine they are there.

Thanks guys! I actually had a dream of her today and she appeared almost like the real one. Only problem was that when I looked through a mirror during it, I was in her body! :D Anyways, I will try those ideas out.
