Tell me your stories of overcoming a traumatic experience you experienced in life that was brought about by using lucid dreaming.

Coping with the loss of a loved one , post traumatic stress from being in a war zone , etc.

I can't say I've had much luck trying to attain lucidity , so I'd like to hear about other people's experiences so I can try to emulate them.

I did survive a few car accidents , and that did leave me with some wariness when I got back behind the wheel for a few months after. I'd get kind of jumpy when cars would pull out from a side street , thinking they weren't going to stop. Also, reliving the accident in dreams for a while. As time went by I forced myself to stop thinking that way , though.

I would thing that its a thousand fold harder if you lose a limb , for example , in a warzone.

I always try to think about inspirational stories of people that have overcome devastating events in life and think 'could I overcome something like that?'

A perfect example is the story of Alex Zanardi, that guy is a fine example of the perseverance of human spirit.

share some stories with me.
