Superior dream control even as a total novice?

Hi Dreamview, I am having a "situation" with my lucid dreaming.

See, I'm a total novice (only 2 LDs under my belt) and I rarely obtain a lucid dream no matter how hard I try. Though, even though I'm a complete novice, I seem to have amazing dream control.

I can control and feel everything in every lucid dream; the only thing i cant control is the setting. Otherwise, I can easily "magick" (thats the word I use) up anything from a motorcycle (very common as I love riding) to a house, all I have to do is turn the corner and its there (I dont try to magick stuff up if I'm going to put it in my current FOV, it just doesnt seem natural to me.) I also never wake from a lucid dream unless I get killed, meaning no excitement or pain wakes me up when I'm in dreams. I also can fly very smoothly and I rarely ever need to stabilize.

So has anyone heard of even a novice having extremely good dream control even if they rarely ever get LDs? Does it mean anything? Will this ability go away over time?

      Thanks guys!

It will never go away if you stay confident with it, so basically don't let anyone tell you that it will. Well, there probably will be some lucids you have with less control, even the pros sometimes get one that's hard to steer... but overall, your level of control doesn't vary too much once you've got it. Be careful with your judgment though, it's hard to really say you can do anything in "every" lucid dream when you've only had two. Play the field a bit more and see where it takes you, then go from there.

For the record, I had awesome control in my first couple lucids and it's still going strong. Since then I haven't always been able to stabilize well as often for some reason, but my powers are generally the same and I've added some new ones to my roster. It's really not all that uncommon for someone to start out with lots of powers, it really just depends on instincts and what they've been told about lucids.

Sounds like you have a knack for this. There are always new ways to challenge yourself. Maybe you could come participate in the Task of the Month challenges: Task of the Month We do a basic and advanced challenge every month. Some are easy, but some can be pretty mind-bending.
