really odd dream here....

Hey guys, what's wierd about this dream... The wierd thing is, I only remember this one part of it. My recall's good, so I'm assuming I hopped straight into this, and my mind filled in the rest (the supposed "story"), as I don't remember the actual scenes.
Well, I'm in a white, palace sort of place, with huge doors nearby. There's a few other people in here. I remember that this place is the dungeon or torture chamber, or the lair of something, of a god or a demon. We have defeated this being (again, I have no memory of this, I just thought it)
So, now we have to escape.
Me and another person point at the doors and open them. Outside, there's water- we're deep under sea level, a massive swim back up.
I say "I forgot about that", and "he sure hid this place well.... Or just made it hard to escape" (very cliche, I know). I assumed that the water wasn't coming inside because the air in the palace was actually a "bubble" and couldn't be penetrated unless we breathed all the air in- used it up- and the balloon would collapse. So we have to move fast.

This dream is not lucid, but next time I lucid dream, I want to revisit this place, make it my "dream base" of sorts, as it's magnificent image is inside my head....
I'm into Greek Mythology, so maybe this place is a play on Poseidon's underwater palace?
Just asking for your thoughts on this.

sounds like an interesting dream, would have been a lot of fun lucid. I hope you didnt kill poseidon lol. my "dream base" is my house i walk down the hallway looking at the differnt pictures and try to pick witch one i want to be in.

I don't think I killed Poseidon as he's not meant to be evil, if I went with Greek mythology, it would be a Titan probably.
Interesting idea with the pictures, so far I'm just remaking the dream when I'm lucid

Interesting story stewart.... hmm, I've had similar experiences in terms of semi-awareness and lack of control, but I was on a beach in my favourite place in the world, Hawaii (Oahu, for those who want more detail. And yes, I learned the basic layout from TDU2) Anyway, I always use this beach as my "Dream base" as I can just "take off" and fly to anywhere I want, or I can open the door on the nearby beach-hut and use it as a portal to a new location :) Sadly, this wasn't possible during my non-lucid experience until I finally used a few reality checks such as the shape of the palm trees , but I often find using a familar place to use as a dream base helps me stabilise it/ become lucid :)
Anyway, my point is that perhaps you used an unfamiliar place as a subconcious "dream base", yet you didn't realise it, and because you've obviously never seen something similar in real life, other than Greek myths, your mind populated it with similar events, as you didn't have anything else to go on :)

It's odd, because in the dream, I felt like I had done something incredible, like the finale of an epic battle raging on for years. I definitely want to go back there, maybe make a few changes- I can only remember the room, not what lies inside the palace. I want to talk to the god or Titan, too. My dream base has to be as unique and magnificent as possible, so I'm staying away from real places :)

If I got killed I'd do a DEILD and take the palace for my own :)
I've never died in lucid dreams, I've been shot and stabbed in a few regular dreams though
