Did DCs ever give you tips for LDing?

The title explains it all :)

I had a dream like half a year ago where a DC was teaching me and 2 others a new lucid dreaming technique (that's how she said it).
Basically she told us that if we imitate hiccups, that will help us get to lucid dreams easier.

I woke up soon after this and while staying still i started imitating hiccups, which induced sleep paralysis for me :)
I tried it multiple times ever since and turns out this hiccup imitation works well for me to induce sleep paralysis... So after all the DC was somewhat right... it's not exactly LD induction, but it induces SP, which then helps getting to an LD more easily :D

Actually I can recall at the moment two cases which one of them is today. The first dream was a lucid dream where I played some kind of a ball game with the character from Avatar: The Last Air Bender. Even though the lucid dream wasn't really smooth and sometimes in the middle I would get a black screen for less than a second. Then I saw an old man standing near the door of the wooden hut we were in. So I asked him what should I do in order to improve the quality of the dream? He replied that I just have to go with plot of the dream and everything will be fine. So I did as he told me and the dream became smooth and a high quality LD.
Today in a non-lucid dream some mysterious shadow like kid gave some tips about WILDing. He told me that in order to fall asleep properly I should just let go and relax. Then he gave me that feeling it was like some kind of demonstration and I just felt really relaxed and then I entered a dream where I sent my friend to look up some details about this kid on the Internet

I dunno about tips, but my first ever LD was because a DC asked me how to tell if I was dreaming. I showed her how to RC, and it worked, making me lucid!!

However, I like to look at non-lucids as areas where I can improve my awareness. i.e. If I have dreams about school, work and video games, I'm probably slacking off in maintaining my awareness during these activities.

I once had a non lucid in which I was attending a class about lucid dreaming. The teacher asked me to describe my last dream, I then told her about the dream I actually had just before that one. 'Twas weird indeed.

:lol: Reminds me of a dream I had in which I told the dream I was in to a friend, to the point where we were walking and I was telling him about the dream, I got lucid after that off course.
Then a dream later (I wasn't lucid anymore), I told him about the dream in which I told him about the dream itself.
Then after waking up, when I met this friend in real life I told him "I know this will be the third time I'm telling you about this dream", and did a reality check to be sure. It was one of the most hilarious dream sequences I've ever had, and we had a great laugh about it.

As for DC advice, a dream character once told me (when I just began practicing lucid dreaming) "Give it time, and the nebula within the nebula will reveal itself."

Yes. Many times. One case was on walking through walls. My dream guide at the time helped me in a couple long LDs. Very clear specific details. I had trouble before and after was very good at it.

I have had dream guides help me with many aspects of dreaming. It is nonsense most of the time. Upon waking, I can usually track what daily residue caused the nonsensical advice. I don't think they have ever given me advice on how to induce lucid dreams. I will have to ask next time I bump into a guide.

My DCs love to express their non belief towards lucid dreaming, so I guess no they never help me.

One of my Dream Characters helped me out with a lucid power :P A few have been helpful when it comes to lucid dreaming ;)

I remember in my first LD one of my DCs got incredibly excited after I told her that she was in my dream. She started freaking out with joy and excitement and I woke up. They've only ruined LDs for me so far. Stupid DCs.

I have indeed gotten LD advice from DC's before. It's fairly common but most is useless.

In a non-lucid, I was eating dinner with my deceased grandfather, who then in the dream was giving me advice about dreams.
