I want to know if your physical body differs from your dream body in any dream. If it does, can I to look at my arm (has a birthmark) and make it a reality check to see if it is still there, in the same place, or same size and color.

As with everything in dreams, they are if you think they are. It's unlikely however that it will look exactly the same as the original and thus may make for a good reality check.
Wow I have a six inch scar on my knee i'm gonna have to check next time I Lucid dream!
Not too sure about scars, but I recently broke my wrist and have spent 6 weeks in a cast. I noticed in a dream a couple of weeks back that my cast wasn't on my arm, thus initiating a lucid dream (so I guess one good thing came from breaking my wrist). My guess would be that if you are aware you have the birth mark, it will be present, but the subconscious mind is a powerful thing. Have a good dream tonight and remember to check your birth mark while you're flying through the Grand Canyon, let us know if you have it ;)
Of course you can have any body, even a fish body in your dreams. The birth mark may appear because you are used to it. I imagine it will warp and move around a bit in a dream, so it is worth a shot as a RC.
It could very well make a good RC.
It may not appear there, depending on how often you pay attention to it in real life. Dream bodies are so fluid. We don't always appear as we think we should.
Give it a shot. Report back if it works or if it doesn't.
It's a hit-and-miss. I had a bruise on my knee once and checked to see if it was there in a lucid, and it wasn't at first glance. I mentally projected it onto my knee though, on a second glance, and it was there (if not distorted!)
My dream body is almost always wonky. My favorite reality check is looking at my hands. They are consistently strange. Extra fingers, extra knuckles, weird colors, animal appendages. Strange strange stuff. Something similar happens when I look in the mirror. The more closely I look at myself, the more strange things I notice. A casual glance will be fine. As soon as I start investigating, or looking for something specific, I start to look like a monster.
Scars, birthmarks, freckles, small sores/cuts - they may or may not be there, or be at different place, configuration. You also may have some that you don't have in waking life. Happy dreams:)
I was once in a dream in which a surgery I previously had had done had been reversed. It got me lucid so I'm not complaining :)
I had a lucid dream and forgot to check, but I will report back to yall when I remember.
the middle finger is a bit crippled (XD) on my left hand , but i never seen that finger in a dream^^
its also a big scar on it^^
