I think it's possible but not something we can normally do, that's for sure. Some people can visualize thing's better than other people so it would probably be easier for them. After seeing how flexible the way we see things in dreams can be I'd bet that you could have two separate streams of mental imagery at a time. |
|
I've done that to a certain extent before in dreams and I can even do it a tiny bit if I focus really hard while awake. They are sort of just perceived separately. It's kinda hard to explain. It is much easier to visualize things in your dreams you should try it sometime. |
|
I've tried doing stuff like that before. It takes a lot of focus, but I'm sure if I worked on it it would be waaaay better. It would still be hard to beat an actual dream though. |

I had a dream the other night that included elements of my awareness of the real world while sleeping and lucid. It was an intense experience, though I couldn't even come close to describing it accurately. |

It is possible. It is not easy. Using the same visualization skills I have taught on oother threads, the student can eventually create the images superimposed over the waking field of vision. It is actually two entirely seperate pictures though. What I mean is the visualized image does not obscure the real image. I am not sure I can explain how this happens. Sounds kind of like something a neural-specialist may be able to answer. I only know, that with practice it is possible. |

But are you be able to perceive what you see clearly, while visualising clearly? |

Yes, it is possible that while visualizing something, we are conscious of what we are seeing with our eyes and we are also able to perceive both views clearly. |
