Okay, so this is pretty weird and I'm not sure if I even had a lucid dream or just thought I was lucid but was just lying in bed imagining things. |

You were more than likely right on the edge of lucidity. It was probably an extremely vivid day dream that was actually transforming into an actual LD. If you still felt like you could move your arms and such then you probably weren't in a dream. Next time this happens, relax and try to immerse yourself slowly. Stabilize first and they slowly work your way into the dream by activating your senses. |

agree with the above, you mustve been right on the edge of lucidity or either watchin ure dream... or even in a deep phase of meditation |

Well if you felt like you couldn't move you may have very well been in an actual dream. A beginning REM sleep dream. On some of the first dreams of the night they are actually very short and hard to control and or stabilize. They aren't the most clear in other words so this could have been what you were experiencing. Which would, in fact, be a dream. Do you recall how long you had slept prior to this event? |

I disagree with the others. I'd say you were having a full-on lucid dream. If you were dreaming and aware that you were dreaming, then it's lucid. It doesn't matter that you had little or no control over the dream. You were just in a light sleep. |
