Simply focusing on the dream and being relaxed is a good way to keep it stable, but for many people that's just not realistic - exploration isn't as common as actually trying to fly or do other impossible feats. It's good to find a balance between doing what you want, and keeping the dream stable. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Its a pretty big generalization to say that most lucid dreamers can't control their dreams. Just about anyone can with a little practice. As for stability, doing exciting stuff doesn't necessarily make you unstable unless you get distracted and loose focus or have some sort of dogmatic belief that having fun will make you wake up. Also what do you mean by the "lucid nightmate effect" and how would not controlling anything stop it from happening? |
