Ok, this to me is either a huge coincidence, or something else going on. But I had to laugh. What do you think?
About 3 months ago I had my first serious lucid dream. Here is an excerpt from my dream journal, dated October 13, 2011:
I was in a big park with some other people. They were sitting on park benches which were sitting on cement rectangular pads. The park was "open", kind of like Central Park. Suddenly, in the distance coming our way was a tiger! I was scared and started to move behind a park bench, but then realized I was dreaming. I told them, "Don't worry, I'll handle this!" I went over to the tiger and thought to myself that I was going to pick him up and throw him so hard he would shoot up in the sky like a rocket taking off, and that he would turn into a disappearing point in about 1 second. That is exactly what happened! Note: The tiger was big, but not huge. Like a young adult tiger. Also, the day started out clear in my dream, but when I went to the tiger it was looking sort of like dusk.
Two days ago an article appeared in our local newspaper, about animals and dreams, in the religion section. Here is a part of this article:
For several weeks now, I've fallen asleep reading about a search for tigers. Two nights ago, the tiger found me.
I'm on a golf course in India, sloshing across a wide marsh toward the next hole. Once there, I have trouble getting the tee in the ground, and a thick dark ash keeps covering the ball. Suddenly, as if flung by a catapult, a tiger flies across the horizon and lands in a crouch 20 feet away. I find myself trapped against a wodden wall. The big cat, not yet fully grown, draws closer. I grip my gold club like a bat awaiting its next move.
I wondered what happened to that tiger I threw...
