Thread: Meeting yourself?

I'm very new to lucid dreaming and haven't had much experience in it yet but I was thinking last night, what it would be like to meet yourself in a lucid dream.

Has anyone ever met themselves? Or a younger/older version of themselves? Is it even possible?

This would definitely be possible. In a lucid dream you can do anything you can imagine, even meeting yourself.

I haven't done this yet, but I have been thinking about summoning myself in a lucid dream and asking myself some questions. I think it will be interesting to see what kind of responses I get.

No, haven't done it. But it's certainly possible. Everything is when it comes to lucid dreaming, the only thing that can hinder you is a lack of dream control. The only way to lack dream control is to not fully believe that anything is possible.

I had a dream last year that I was visiting my hometown and walked into a house and found a toddler sleeping. I stood in the door way and the child woke up and rubbed her eyes, looked around the room found me and smiled....thats when i noticed it was me as a 3 year old. My cousin walks into the room and says to the child "Look Jessica this is you when you are all grown up" The baby stretched her arms out to me and I picked her up and sat her on my hip. She put both her hands on my face and smiled again. Then hugged me tight. In my dream I felt her warm pink cheeks on my cheeks. I had barely moved when i began to wake up. Since I am a lucid dreamer I was able to stay in the dream a little longer but I couldnt think of anything to say or do! So I put her down on the bed to leave the house. I wish I could have controlled it more. I think I would have alot to tell my 3 year old self.....I dont know if I would ever let her go again if I were to have the chance of hugging her in a dream again..... Was so very sweet. =)

you can, I have done it.I'm really scared of my other self when i meet myself. He tried to kill me. when i'm struggling, i know what he is thinking and how to get out of the dream. when it happened, it's hard to get out of your dream. the reason why i'm struggling is because i know if I were killed, i'll dissapear.

I met myself in a non-lucid dream, and we had an epic battle. It was just hand-to-hand combat, but very intense. Throwing each other around in a grocery store, head-locks, being punched in the face, etc. I don't recall why we starting fighting ourselves, but we were very evenly matched, and it was actually a fun fight. I never give up due to challenges, only when it's right best thing to do, so that probably influenced the epic factor in the fight, as myself I was fighting felt the same way. We were both the same age.

Since everything in a dream is a creation of your mind, it seems like you meet yourself in every dream, just in different aspects than what you would normally consider yourself. Meeting yourself in the same aspect doesn't seem much different except that you would be more consciously aware that it is you.

I asked for my subconscious to appear and a clone of myself appeared. I was so excited that I started hugging my other self and wanted to do something together, the first thing that came to mind was to go bowling so I did =) I noticed my other self was left handed whereas I am right handed in waking life. I think it is my opposite.

tried a few times later but not much success as dream ended before I could do anything but have had the same result of seeing myself appear.

When i get better, im gonna tell my dream to show me myself if i were a female.
