For lots of people DCs deny that you are dreaming. In my experience my DCs always agree with me.
In my lucid dream this morning i tried convincing several characters that we were in a dream and they all denied it except for this skater kid who told me that he knew where he was and that he's been there for 30 years.
For the most part, my DCs won't tell me I'm dreaming, but they're usually pretty supportive when I find out.
Either that or indifferent.
Then, there are those DCs...
The last time that happened, the DC didn't deny it, she brutally attacked me! O_O
It pissed me off more than anything else.
I started a similar thread just yesterday. Here's an extract from the OP:
I was in my house, with all my family members. The dream revolved around me being suspicious about it being a dream, and my parents and my brother trying to stop me. They would insist that I wasn't dreaming, but I kept convincing myself I was.
They even resorted to trying to get me into a nightmare: my mom said "You DO know what happens when you realize you're lucid dreaming, right?", and while she said it everything went black and white, started distorting and melting and being sucked into a vortex for an instant. This battle went on for ages, with me asking questions continually, when finally I had the intuition of looking at my hands. One of them had 6 fingers, so I definitely knew I was dreaming then. At that point, they seemed to have accepted it.
So, yeah. This was my first proper lucid dream. I'll try again tonight; I'll keep repeating to myself the fundamental truth, that they don't exist, and their behaviour is simply a projection of my mind, and therefore I can change how they act. I'll report tomorrow and if I have no luck lucid dreaming, I'll report the results when I do.
But man, I didn't think my DCs would go as far as turning the dream into a nightmare. And sadly my mom is, too, a crazy bitch. In a previous part of the dream she gave me a handgun and forced me to shoot a plate of spaghetti; once these exploded in a red saucy mess, she told me, "That's what's going to happen to your BRAIN if you don't SHUT UP". I wasted all the shots so she couldn't shoot me anymore, and she simply went in the basement. My brother yelled after her, "Are you going to get the magnum?".
Well it seems a lot of people here have the same 'problem' as you, and to get rid of it you will have to know just 1 thing.
The inner workings of the DC, a DC is just an empty shell(puppet if you will) living from your expectations of it, DC's can be controlled easily, I find them to be much more easily controllable then Dream Environments or Dream Objects because they aren't static object to begin with, so you don't have to break any physics for them to do as you want. You just have to know(expect) them to do what you want them to do and they will.
You probably expect them to deny it, and even get mad at you because that is what a real person most likely would do if you accused them of being not real.
Who am I? You can call me the Master of Puppets. *grins as he disappears into the shadows*
