I fell in love with a character in my dream

      Hello,

I am sure this sounds inmature, but dream world canīt be controlled. This happened in a dream (not lucid) several years ago. She was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. She was blond and had blue eyes. I think we didnīt even exchange a word but, man!! I canīt put in words what I felt for her in that dream (literally, english is not my mother language ).
She left an undying impression in me is the least I can say.

      Has this happened to anyone?.

I think this is a common thing with most people me for instance; i had dreams of this girl i saw around school but i never really knew her. I knew her name and thats about all, from what i knew about her i wasnt really interested in talking to her, but there was a week when i could not stop dreaming about her. In my dreams she had this wonderful personality... though in the dream we loved each other... and i actually felt the feeling as what i know of "love." But for the most part i think its common... Now if your still in love with this charecter in your waking life... I'm not sure what to tell you...

yeah its pretty common, feelings and emotions are multiplied several times in dreams, I read about someone that fell in love with a pot of stew once. (while in a dream of course)
~I wake up a little more every time I dream.

oh, boy... I feel better now.

I am not sure if I was "in love" with this girl after I woke up, but I certainly couldnīt get her out of my head for a while (weeks) after the dream.

I've had this happen a couple times before. I DEFINITELY know what you are talking about. One time I was in this mall in a dream, apparently after-hours because it was fairly dark. I was with a few random people I didn't really know, but then walked over to a bench where there was the most beautiful blonde girl, and we sat next to eachother, with this dream understanding that we were together. It felt euphoric, and when I woke up I had a lot of feelings for her, and wanted to have the dream again because I wanted to see her.
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.

yes about ten years ago now i had a dream. i was in a crop field. when i saw the most beautiful girl i had ever seen, she was standing in a track, the
crops was high 5 feet. she had long golden hair and big beautiful warm blue eyes.she beckoned me to follow her
and i did, she came to a tee junction in the field, and when i had arrived there
she had gone. i thought oh no god, then i came back to reality. ive never
seen a girl like her in my life. i swear it's true, i wish i could see a girl like her in real life...

I have had several dreams where I lived out a relationship with girls I don't even know in the dream world; I figure is just my desire for the 'perfect' partner lived out in a dream, or my female counterpart (soul mate whatever) contacting me through a dream.

In this dream, was there a previous woman. A typical dream motif is to be pursuing one lady in a Dream, only to find her place being taken later in the dream by another who is more to be preferred. I suppose the meaning there is that one should be careful of what one wishes for, since there might actually be something better if we can keep ourselves open.

But it is charming that you have stayed smitten by this Dream Vision for so long. It shows a certain propensity in your Character for Goddess Worship. And I notice you fly the Spanish Flag. Perhaps you have much blood in your veins that remembers the Devotions to the Blessed Virgin. She appeared in one of my Dreams just a few weeks ago, and She was as you described Her -- tall, Blond and Blue Eyed, and She had quite a command presence. Of course, I was too much in awe of Her then to behave as though I was smitten romantically with Her -- Her Business-Like Attitude automatically created just the right Distance.

Well, not being able to explain what one thinks indicates that one's intellectual inventory is lacking. The ideas are there, but the concepts to express them are insufficient. You have only to do my reading and writing -- to become accustomed to expressing what you think in actual words, as now your ideas probably rise up in figments of picture, and jolts of emotion.

      Characters in Dreams

You guys just reminded me of my most recent LD!! I was having a great time with some people I don't know in real life and had met a new friend. I was suddenly awakened and jerked from the dream. I was kind of upset because I hadn't even gotten the fellas name yet! So I quickly tried to get back to sleep and into the dream. I couldn't believe it worked! I went right back into it!! I'd never been able to do that before! My friend had moved on, but I started looking around and I found him. I told him I just had to ask his name. He was pleased and told me his name is "Carlos". Cool or what? 8) I haven't seen him around again, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. He was nice!
I wondered if maybe he is a real person in waking life and perhaps we were dream sharing? I just found it odd how I was able to go back and get his name (and remember it) and he knew me and wanted to be my friend. But who knows; who can explain the human mind?

It isn't just fictional dream girls that I have fallen in love with. I have also woken from a dream of a girl that I went to school with, with very passionate feelings. All I did was stand next to her for a couple seconds, and moved on. But when I woke up, I was so swept with emotions for her, it lasted with me for a few days. The same has happened with another girl on more than one occasion.

Do any of you think that this is an internal sign that we belong together, or simply that I have hidden feelings for the person?

Hmm... that's kind of hard to say Matchbook. If it occured in waking life, I'd consider it a bit more serious. But since this happened in a dream, I think it's more your subconscious' way of keying you in to your true feelings. However, you won't know the complete answer, I don't think, unless you make contact with this person.

I know exactly how you feel, I started focusing my chakra to remember my dreams and this person from my old dreams came back, and at first I tried to run away, but he caught me. And for two dreams he was trying to change me and my resistance towards him was crumbling. On the third dream we were in love, nothing more to be said. But now I want to see him again, this pronably doesn't help with the question though :/ Oh yea, I read somewhere that you can't make up faces so its probably someone you know.

So sorry, Nayatakatana, I have to close this thread, since none of the participants are active anymore. If you would like to start your own thread, feel free to do so. Either here, in lucid section, or if not lucid dream, in General dream section.
