I find my lucid occurrences really drop in frequency when I'm tired or have a poor sleeping schedule. If I'm more awake and rested, it's easier to become lucid (DILD-wise, but if I'm a bit tired it's easier to reach SP for a WILD). |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Used to be a really deep sleeper. Could sleep through pretty much anything. |

Lucid dreams normally occur in light sleep rather than deeper sleep. When you're closer to being awake, it's easier to become conscious in your dream. That's why a lot of people have short LDs in their first DILDs--they're getting lucid near the end of the dream because they're close to waking already. |
