Reality Checks failed
This morning I was feeling kinda sleepy so i thought "why not take a nap and try and lucid dream" I was really excited because I just had this weird feeling that I was finally going to become lucid, but ALL of my reality checks failed me, the dream went down something like this:
I had a false awakening and got out of bed to get a drink of water, as I walked to my bathroom I noticed a water fountain in the hallway and I thought "wow that really useful" so I started drinking from it. At once I realized that I didn't have a water fountain in my house and form some reason my first conclusion was that I was hallucinating, but I could feel the water in my mouth so there was no way it was a hallucination. Then I realized I may be dreaming so I sprinted back to my room to look at my clock, and crystal clear even with the right font and everything it said 2:30 PM (I feel alseep around 9:30 so there's no way it could have been 2:30 but I wouldn't really expect to notice that in a dream). Since my clock worked fine I tried the nose pinch, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't breath so I thought damn maybe I am awake (forgetting about the fucking fountain in my hallway). Feeling defeated I walked back into my bathroom, my reflection looked completely normal in the mirror so I was almost convinced I was awake but when I went to turn on the light they wouldn't go on (one of the switches is also connected to a fan witch didn't turn on either) and I thought "HOLY SHIT I AM DREAMING" Just to be sure I raced back to my room and tried the lights in there... they turned on with no problem so I walked back into the hallway, staring at this water fountain think "I know that I don't have a fucking water fountain but 4 reality checks just told me I'm awake what the fuck is going on?" I don't quite remember what happens after that but I woke up shortly.
Can someone please explain to me how in a dream I had for the sole intention of become lucid 4 reality checks all told me I was awake?

If you perform reality checks purely out of habit, and without any actual focus then they are pretty much pointless. Just doing the actions won't help all that often, you need to actually consider reality and question it.
This may or may not have been the problem. Of course, sometimes you can just have an "odd dream" where things don't work out.

How did the nose pinch fail? By rights it's flawless unless you have some kind of cold which would prove as a hindrance.. simply being because breathing in the dream world and breathing in the real world are the same thing. :?

That is frustrating. Sadly, no reality checks work 100% of the time. It sounds like you are really starting to question reality. I'm sure you are close to breaking through.
