Ok... a couple months ago I had a dream that this skeleton guy with these double sided axe type things and a viking-ish hat was killing everyone and i was the last one ... he finally got me a I fell to the ground..
Right after he chucked it at my back . I woke up... Ouch . I actually hurt when i woke up....

      Is this normal????

Yes. I feel pain in my dreams all the time... In fact, once I felt it so strongly that it actually felt as though (also my back!) someone had stabbed me in the middle of my spine. I felt the ache for a few minutes afterward.
I feel lots of sensations in my dreams, actually; I feel them so powerfully that the dream seems extremely realistic. There are times that I have to actually stop and ask myself if I dreamed something or not.

Morpheus in the Matrix put it the best, "The body cannot live without the mind"

What our mind percieves in the dream reality we will probably feel in the waking world, there are obvious exceptions, like ways of not feeling pain at all, etc. -but in general we will feel pain.

It also may be a way of imitating what the body feels in the waking world-
One night i had something sticking into my ribs...could have been a metal/wooden bar from the bed, and in a dream i had been shot, and when i woke up i still felt the pain and there was a piece of the bed in my side...

your mind can perceive anything you believe (subconciously or conciously) to be real...you hear about people all the time that will die because they lose all will to continue living...its kinda the same thing...well at least it makes sense in my mind lol...also how people can meditate in ice cold water and not feel cold at all

Don't worry BlueMystik this happens to me all the time. I'll wake up feeling pain in my leg when I just got shot in my dream in the same place.
