I have read numerous times in numerous threads that sometimes techniques work for some people and not for others. Is this because the technique was faulty? No b/c it obviously worked for others. |

Basicly it's all about intentions and trying to get lucid. The techniques are there to have something to believe in. Some people are born to be good at this naturally, others have to develop the skill from scratch. |

For DILD's, i notice that when I'm not too obsessed with RC every few minutes but instead focus on awareness throughout the day at random times or times when things seem dream-like, my LD frequency in DILD'ing increases dramatically. Stress throughout the day doesn't help at all and also intention setting before sleeping is good. All my DILDs have also been WBTB. My WILD technique is similar to Jeff777's free fall technique and I just let myself fall asleep and try to catch myself before losing consciousness, if i get lucky i end up in a WILD, of course i'm still a beginner and my techniques still need to be refined |

Current goal: Learning pyrokinesis and FUS RO DAH
Very true but even naturals could benefit from a technique or even a trick like saying "I want to remember my dreams when I wake up" before sleep. There are different techniques that basically teach the same thing in different ways, some things work better for some than others b/c it better suited to how they understand information. I think even naturals have a "technique," they just don't know their using one, we can somewhat recreate a naturals "technique" with the All-Day-Awareness technique. |

I'm unsure of whether different aspects of techniques can be successfully combined, as some involve WILD, MILD, DILD... |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

But see right there now there are two ways of basically doing the same technique. In Yoshi's tut he edited it later and added that people should start with doing sessions of 15-20min to get started. The purpose isn't to particularly combine methods just learn from one another, the combining of technique is just an expected side effect, among others. It also kind of seemed like you were trying to combine the same technique, it is the Awareness technique, you just do it differently, which is to be expected. I have combined MILD & WBTB w/ WILDing that uses anchors, my white noise, and also do meditation in the day that includes the Awareness technique; I always thought techniques were meant to be combined and refined as to learn what works best for oneself. |

Actually, I didn't combine my technique with anything, it came out a good eight months or so before Yoshi's. |
