      Energy wave and a dry-spell?

      Hiya,

So I've been trying to lucid dream for like 3-4 weeks now and it's not going well. When I started I could remember 1-2 dreams per night, 2 weeks later sometimes even 4. But now it's like I hit some kind of wall. I'm trying to get lucid the same way I've been trying before, but it's not working at all. I either can't remember anything (and yes I lay in my bed trying to recall it) or I write down 1 useless line. Though today when I woke up after like 6 hours of sleep, I went to sleep again after about 45 mins. I was lying in my bed on my back for about 1 hour, and I just couldn't lay like that anymore, so I changed my position and tried the free fall technique, it didn't work. But after like 2 hours of sleeping I opened my eyes for like a second and I felt such a huge energy wave going right through me, I mean it was fuckin' unbelievable, it's like my body lifted up for like a milisecond, after that I thought I had become lucid, opened my eyes, did a reality check, but it was reality...It's getting really annoying...I can't even remember my dreams anymore... If any1 could give some advice or tips It would be highly appreciated.

The energy wave was probably some form of SP and I think it got you too excited so you woke up instead of going to sleep.

Dryspells can happen to anyone and for a lot of reasons, I recently went through a short one in which I couldn't remember even a single dream. For me the reason was that a lot of things during the day kept me busy so when I woke up I was thinking about those things instead of the dreams I had, and when I thought about the dreams I couldn't remember them anymore.

My advice is to just try to get dreaming on your mind before you go to sleep, I usually do this by reading this site for a few minutes before I go to sleep, that way its more likely that when you wake up the first thing you will think about is the dream you've had.

I do, I always read DV after I go to sleep, and after I wake up after 6 hours of sleep. Doesn't seem to help though. Might be because I was busy the past week with my driving exams. And when trying to get lucid I always repeat mantras like "I will be lucid" and "I will have a lucid dream". But it usually just ends up in me laying in my bed for like an hour until this unbeatable urge of changing positions comes up... Also, I usually leave my PC overnight, I turn it off when going to sleep after 6hrs. Does it have any effects on trying to get lucid?

Moving will not ruin your WILD. Start out in one position to begin your relaxation, then move to your normal sleeping position to finish the WILD and enter the dream. I always change position at least once in my WILDs, even for short successful ones that only take 1-3 minutes to succeed. I will always roll into my normal sleeping position so I can have a longer and more comfortable dream.
