Alright, so I had a dream last night. In it, I had a lucid dream. So I basically dreamt that I was lucid dreaming.
Does that count?
you had a lucid dream that you were having a lucid dream? o.O
No no no, it was a non-lucid, in which I had a lucid :O
So you fell asleep in a non lucid dream and then the dream scenery changed and you actually became lucid? If you knew you were dreaming, yes it counts.
I think he means that..
He had a dream. in it he said "hey im dreaming". But he really didnt mean it. he wasnt actually lucid. He just had a dream about being lucid.
If thats the case than no it doesnt count. If its what mancon said than yes it does count.
If you simply said "hey, I'm dreaming" without any feeling, excitement, awareness, etc, then it wasn't a real lucid. Sometimes if you have LDing on your mind, your dreams will incorporate lucidity into the dream plot, but you won't actually recognize that you're dreaming. It's like how sometimes you're flying or doing impossible things but fail to realize that you're dreaming, and become aware.
Sometimes you might attempt a WILD in a non-lucid, or fall asleep in a dream and then wake up in a new one, becoming lucid shortly after. I've had a few non-lucids where I WILDed, woke up in a new dream (false awakening), and then thought I really succeeded in the WILD, becoming very lucid. I wouldn't realize the first dream wasn't real until I woke up. In this situation, the lucidity is definitely real as long as you were actually aware. I've had 6-7 lucids like this.
I've had dreams where I say "I must be dreaming." Then I look at my hands and it's all normal and say "I don't wanna look at them too long. This is too good a dream to become lucid." And carry on without even thinking about it.
I never count them as lucids.
No no no, lol. Here, I'll be very very detailed.
I had a dream. In this dream, I was dreaming. In the second dream, the one encased in the first dream, I was lucid. But I didn't have any control or anything.
I was dreaming that I was lucid, basically. I was thinking to myself, hey, let's try and move that car, now that I'm lucid. Then I felt like I was slipping and everything turned light gray. But I didn't really have control over myself...In my dreams, I'm really just watching me, like, I don't really act it out. I watch myself act it out from inside me.
So, I was dreaming that I was lucid and I watched myself act it out, but didn't realize I was dreaming for real.
Same as I said in my issue. Doesn't count.Quote:
didn't realize I was dreaming for real.
I've been lucid with zip control before. Awareness (lucidity) and dream control are totally different, and not related as much as one might think. :) You can have awesome control in a non-lucid (flying, slaying dragons, etc) but have poor control in a lucid. It just boils down to your experience and the nature of the specific dream you are in.
Alright then, I'll just have to try again :(
Yes it was a lucid. He had a dream within a dream like in Inception, and the second one was lucid, so the dream itself counts as lucid (regardless of level of control).
hay guize how do i enter someone elses dream liek inception i want to plant the idea that i deserve a bigger alowance into my mom
What are you talking about? Inception said you could. Are you trying to tell me that Leonardo dicaprio is lying? Whatever see you in limbo.
the above was a joke! For any newb reading this inception had a lot of mis information like dreams within a dream, and limbo!
That is the same dream. But in the dream you WILDed and then woke up. That doesn't mean that the frost dream was still active while you where in a "WILD" and that doesn't mean you were in different dreams.
Also it doesn't mean that you had a WILD. It would still be considered a DILD.

I understand it's a DILD not a WILD.
And I WILDed from one dream into a lucid then woke up again back in the dream like a false awakening. I understand both dreams are not going on at the same time.
I will WILD in and out of the same non lucid dream 2-3 times in one session.
