      Stress is a dream-killer

I guess these are stressful times for me, lotsa study, sometimes problems with my gf or family and plenty of shitty days. It seems to coincide that when days are shittier, my dreams get shittier, I mean, less dreams, less vivid, sometimes even no dreams at all and hell, not one LD!

Is any of you capable of LDing in spite of stressful days? If so, please give me some advice!

Yeah, you could have LDs on stressful days. I haven't had good experiences w/them though.

Dreams show you what you need to do.

I am still capable to focus even when I have bad days. This is because before I sleep I meditate to become calm. Meditation helps you think better and focus.

Yume, I only wish I could meditate when I'm stressed!

I am in the same boat as Kaimelar. I cannot calm nor empty my mind when I'm worried or anxious about something.. therefore any type of meditation just ain't happening and I can totally forget about having a lucid dream. Oh, I may still have normal dreams inspite of my stress, but they're seldom anything worth remembering (that's if I can remember them at all).

If over time you start practicing you will eventually get it. It took me 2 months to get meditation down when I was stressed when I started practicing a few years ago. My friend showed me how before he moved away. All you do is stand up, take short deep breaths, and focus on breathing. and then sit down and go to a meditative state. It may not be successful in the end, but it is worth it in the end. Don't let anger be your enemy.
