Firstly, great stuff to this forum, only just stumbled upon it..
This happened about a year ago. I was trying to WILD and had succeeded only a few times prior. This time was stranger though and have never encountered it since.
I was just slipping peacefully across and the visuals were becoming brighter. Still saying to myself 'This is becoming more and more lucid with every breath' over and over. Then as I entered the lucid state without getting over excited, just marvelling at my environment, something must have made a noise or brought me back as an intense buzzing inside my head began to get louder and louder. It interupted the flow and brought me out of the dream.
The weird thing was I opened my eyes in bed and the buzzing got louder and louder and I couldn't move! Louder and louder still. I kept calm but was fully aware this wasn't usually on the menu. Now like a jack hammer inside my skull and I was starting to sweat and tingle as if been electrocuted. At this point after a minute or so I started to lose my cool and gave a concerted effort to move my arms to raise myself up in bed.
It was a biblical effort, as if I was being pushed down by someone. And so loud; imagine pressing your forehead against a washing machine on full spin! But I started to make progress, as soon as I managed with all my effort to get an arm up to wrench myself up in bed the buzzing started to subside and the loudness faded out over the course of about thirty seconds.
Its never detered me, I love becoming lucid. Its got to be the most powerfull use of consciousness that we have. But that was certainly weird. Waking paralysis induced by lucidity.
Anyone else shared a similar experience?
happy dreaming!
