Keep those fragments in the dream journal as well they may come in handy later! Also don't put yourself into a mentality where you think this is bound to happen, because you will probably inflict yourself with this problem instead of it being a random occurence. Also try to question yourself in the same position you woke up in to try to remember more info from fragments. works for me every time. |

Write down everything you know about your dreams. Try to calm down and don't focus too hard on remembering your dreams. Try to calmly think of what you dreamed about. Light and stress can cause problems when trying to recall your dreams. Say to yourself that you will remember your dreams, when you wake up and before you go to bed. I have had this kind of problems during naps, so I know what you mean. Ask yourself "What was the person/object doing in my dream?" Or why you dreamt about a certian place. Dreams are usually about things you have done during the day or past few days, sometime about major events that you have had in the past. Think of those, and maybe you'll remember. Also, get up and do something (not to take your mind off of the dream) and go back in your bed, at last resort. Also, another thing you can do, if you are sure you will not remember your dream, and after all of the time you've spent trying to, look around your room and see if you find anything that triggers dream recall. Only do this and the other one at last resort, because it could make you forget altogether. |

My guess is it may have something to do with the natural melatonin levels of your body. Are you sleeping later on days that you LD vividly? If you are, then this could explain how the very next day there isn't as much natural melatonin in your body, and therefore, less vivid dreams. This is only a theory but one that makes sense in a logical way of thinking. If you do not know what Melatonin is, its a hormone that slowly builds up throughout the day, and once built up is the body's natural way for making us sleep... So maybe if you are sleeping much later in the day on days you dream vividly, then you are starting the day later and not building up as much natural melatonin to sleep deeply that night. |

MY RC ADVICE: Don't be too eager to go leaping off buildings.
Start from the ground and go up from there.
Wow. Thanks for the advice. It does seem that I sleep more on the days that my dreams are vivid. Like yesterday, I only had like four hours of sleep and I haven't had a vivid dream. I'll try this. Thanks again. |

For me, I have noticed regular patterns of dreams and lucids with the days of the week. My best nights and Monday, Friday and Saturday. My worst nights are Sunday and Thursday. These correlate with my stress and motivation as it changes through the week. You might have a similar pattern of waking events that affect your sleep and dreams in predictable ways through the week. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
You know, It does seem that my sleep patterns are irregular and my best nights are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. I'll try to get my sleep schedule back on track. Thanks. |
