      Strange WILD Attempt

Last night I got in pretty late, and went to bed about 5 in the morning, I thought I'd try a WILD now because I'm not getting up to do one while I'm this tired. I got relaxed and focused on my breathing, from 100-0. around 40 I had some strange sensations and spasm feelings but then I got very aware of my cover rubbing against my neck while I was breathing and I couldn't ignore it, but I tried to stay as relaxed as I could.
After 0 I tried adams WILD and tried to focus on the sensation of falling backwards, to no avail (still thinking of this stupid cover on my neck, i should have began more prepared).
It was late and I forgot most of the stuff I read on how to induce WILD's so I was about to just go to sleep when I remembered some technique for astral projection called ROPE. This is where you focus very strongly on the feeling of pulling yourself up a rope hanging from your ceiling and dangling roughly in front of your chest, I've never tried it though (and at the least it would be a sensation I could use to WILD). Your not supposed to visualize the rope just feel it.
So I thought I'd give it a try, I could feel my fingertips tingling as I felt I reached out with imaginary hands and gripped a rope tightly and began heaving. Immediately, within 3 seconds a whole mass of crazy sensations came over me, a noise started getting louder and louder, it felt like my back muscles were arching up, the blackness behind my eyelids seemed to get very bright and my whole body was strange (maybe vibrating but I cant say, I've never had vibrations before). Because this was so sudden I got excited and lost my focus on pulling and it slowly ebbed away. I was shocked my how easy i got results of my first try and would like other people to try this and tell me there results.
Also can anyone give me more tips to WILD? or if this crazy sensation could be used to WILD instead of AP?

Hello AffinityMage, firstly - wow, and great for you.
It is extremely unlikely, practically impossible to have a WILD without prior sleep at a minimum of 4.5 hrs, ideally 6. I had a similar experience to you before, upon going to bed and relaxing, but of course it lead nowhere - because I hadn't had the requisite sleep beforehand. Try that with a WBTB, or just after you wake Sounds like a perfectly good technique to me, remember that when people refer to AP methods - they will be applicable to WILDs, because that is what an AP is after all.

      *awainting flame from AP believers*

Thanks man, and I couldnt say about AP's until I've had one really, till then I smile and nod to keep out of arguments I would like you to try that method and see if it was as effective for you as it was for me, almost can't wait to try it again tonight.

Well its sat/sun so should be good to try it, but i cant use an alarm to wake me up halfway through the night, because of family members. If I manage to wake up at the appropriate time, ill definately try it though. Let me know how it goes
