Ever have LD habits invade your waking life?

Have any of you had your LD-acquired habits invade your waking life? I don't mean RC's or anything like that; I mean actions that you do so often while dreaming that they become a habit, causing you to start doing them without thinking while awake. For example, in my LD's I never climb stairs, I just fly to the top. The other day while wide awake I tried to do that and failed (obviously), much to my surprise and chagrin. Is this a common phenomenon or should I just fly less in LD's? I hate to think that my brain has actually acquired the habit of flying to the top of stairs regardless of my awake state.

Furthermore, what if somebody gets into the LD habit of driving their car really fast to hop over other cars... and then, out of habit, tries to do the same thing while awake? In other words, can LD-acquired habits be dangerous while awake? Or am I just a worrier?

I catch myself doing this sometimes. The other day I caught myself trying to teleport through walls. It is only ever a brief thought. I've never really embarrassed myself doing something foolish.

Whenever I have to walk awhile to get somewhere I get the urge to push off the ground with my feet and fly. I also get the urge to jump out of windows.. Thankfully most of my dreaming habits don`t carry over to the real world.

Yeah, I get the flying urge too. I find it really annoyed when haven't flown for a while, so when I'm awake I sort of just look at the sky longingly every now and then.

      Lmao Tranquil....

I do this a lot with Telekinesis... Every now and then I'll try to turn on a light or move an object toward me with my mind and realize I'm awake. Can be frustrating when I really don't want to get up =P

joehorn it says you had over 18,000 lucid dreams. Do you mind to tell us what technique you use to get that much?

I started having lucid dreams when I was 5 years old, and have had an average of one per night ever since, mostly involving flying. Since I'm 55 years old, that comes to roughly 18,262 lucid dreams. No need for techniques; they just come naturally. But I hope to use what I'm learning on DreamViews to expand my mind into dreamscapes that I've never visited before!
