The first few times you experience something new, you probably won't get much further because our minds tend to over analyze the experience and/or get excited. Both things can kill the focus required to get into a WILD. |

So at 3:30 (hour and a half ago) I started preparing for a day-time WILD. |

Very good! You were the closet you could possibly be! You should hit a dream the next time you WILD. |
But won't swallowing let you're body know your mind isn't asleep? (if it's an intentional swallow I mean) |
Just sit back and wait. If you do want to move in it you have to move with your mind, similar to a 3rd person game. If it's really bad, you have to see it in your head, also. Those are never fun to hold up, so just wait for it to come into focus and stabilize. |
Alright thanks, because thats my main problem. The transition from SP into LD'ing. |
OK, I will borrow something from the Wiki for you. Something called "the void", infinite blackness, may come up on you when the dream is forming, or the dream may just be plain forming, so this might help. |
Wait so what this means is that if I am in SP and a dream has not yet formed, I so to speak "accelerate" through the darkness as fast as I can until I land in a dream? |
Yeah, but it's theoretical (my suggested application to it), so there's a chance it may not work. |
Alright, I'll try it the next time I find myself not getting a dream |
If you have to swallow, swallow and don't put it off. By not swallowing you spend WAY more time thinking about it, and then you eventually have to do it anyway. It's 10 times more disastrous to a lucid dream transition worrying about it. The body swallows all the time naturally while sleeping, just swallow and get it over with. Try not to think about it too much. |
LMAO I failed to read the whole thread. |
What was amazing? |
Lucid Goals:
Fly [X] - Nuke something with a Falcon Punch [ ] - Stay lucid for longer than 20 minutes [X] - Lucid Sex [X] - Step through a Stargate and enter a new world [ ] - Save a crashing airliner [ ] - Travel in time with the DeLorean [ ] - Go to Narnia [ ] - Go to Middle-earth [ ] - Pokémon Battle [ ]
The whole thing is new to me it just felt amazing being able to go into SP on purpose. |

Swallowing is okay as long as you dont pay much attention to it. And dont stress over seeing things and going numb. Just act like everything is normal. But think everything is normal. If that makes sense. |

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
You can even move if you feel the need to. Just dont think about it. |

Meeshu, congrats on getting close! Some weeks ago I had a similar experience: I got into the SP (like yours, my heart was pounding), saw colors, then couldn't feel my body. I even experienced the big black void Snowboy talked about -- I had never been in it before, but it was distinct and unmistakable. That's when I snapped out of it, because I was so excited to be in that void! And I agree -- even though I didn't quite achieve my goal, it was amazing to be so close. |
I've never had a problem with swallowing. I just get myself into a position where saliva will naturally drain down my throat and I'm good to go. |
Thanks all |
